Got the culture back on lexi's ear - not good

lisar wrote: She has a staff infection in her ear. How in the world do you get a staff infection in your ear. She said it was MRSA? I could be spelling that wrong. They had to change her antibiotics which I am gona go and get when I get off work. But HOW? I just dont get it.

Please pray for her. I know I am not religious in any way shape or form, however Lexi has gone to Christian schools and she is. (I let me kids decide on their own, I dont force my own opinions on them) She prays every night before bed, and everything. She goes to church with my grandmother every sunday. I know I may not believe but she does.

MommyToAshley replied: Oh no! Poor girl. I am sending prayers her way. I hope she starts to feel better soon. Please keep us posted. hug.gif hug.gif

Swood75 replied: hug.gif I hope she feels better soon..I will definately be praying for her..Give her hugs from me(even though I don't know her) wink.gif

PrairieMom replied:
Eew. MRSA. Its everywhere now. Unfortunately. I wasn't a bit surprised to read that.
Poor thing. I hope they can get it cleared up. hug.gif

mckayleesmom replied: Get well soon Lexi. hug.gif

bawoodsmall replied: Poor thing. I have no idea what MRSA but it doesnt sound like a good thing. I will pray for a speedy recovery.

PrairieMom replied:
MRSA is a antibiotic resistant form of Staph. Its that "super bug" that everyone was freaking out about a few months ago when it was found in some schools, and people started pulling their children out.
It used to be found just in hospitals, but has leaked out into the general community now.

My3LilMonkeys replied: hug.gif hug.gif Hope she feels better soon. Watch Raygen around her, from what I understand MRSA is contagious by contact. Maybe that's how she got it in her ear - she could have picked it up from somewhere and then touched her ear.

whitting713 replied: I'm sorry! She will be in our thoughts & prayers.

lisar replied:
Thats what I was thinking. Cause she hasnt been in the hospital except to the er and they didnt mess with her ears. And I consider my self to be a clean person. For some reason when I think of it, I think of it as "dirty" people. KWIM? I know its not but you know how your brain works sometimes.

Calimama replied: Aw tons of prayers. I hope she's feeling better soon. hug.gif

jcc64 replied: Lisa, it's got nothing to do with how clean you are- it's mainly a function of the over-use of antibiotics. Hope she gets well soon! hug.gif

sparkys2boys replied: Oh poor Lexi, hope she feels better soon hug.gif

lisar replied:
I know its just the way I think about things sometimes.

A&A'smommy replied: hug.gif hug.gif oh goodness how scary!!! Sending lots of prayers her way

lisar replied: Thanks yall. She says with this new medicine that her ear doesnt even hurt anymore. So I am hoping that its going away. She goes back to the ENT on Friday so I will update then also

Celestrina replied: That's a relief. We'll be saying our prayers and hope everything is ok.

Danalana replied: I'm praying for her!

Sam & Abby's Mom replied: Wow. That is scary. I'm glad it seems she's on the road to recovery - poor thing!

Teesa®© replied: Glad to hear it doesn't hurt her. Here's to Lexi getting better fast!!

Boo&BugsMom replied: Poor thing. sad.gif I hope she gets better soon! hug.gif
