How can I be dilated to 4 centimeters and NOT be having this baby?! Ugh!!!

Sooo...my doctor was supposed to call the hospital this afternoon to see if there was an open spot for me to go in and be induced... otherwise, I have a non-stress test on Friday, and then... I dunno.

*sigh*

I'll keep ya'll updated! We're bringing my mom's digital camera, and my FIL's laptop... so there will be an update as soon as we can once the baby is born.

Come on Emilie... we're all waiting.

Question for yo uall: If she is born AFTER Christmas, would yo uconsider this to be her first Christmas anyways? Or should she NOT get any of the presents we got for her? My MIL refuses to give her anything Christmas related if she's born after Christmas... lol

maestra replied: Come on Emilie!!!! Wishing you ELVs! thumb.gif soon.gif soon.gif soon.gif baby.gif bump.gif

~CrazieMama~ replied: WooHoo!!!! Your ready!!! I was 4 cm with Brianna before I went in labor. ELV coming your way!!!!! I say a Christmas baby it will be!!!!

I don't think it would be her first Christmas, but why not give her the stuff you bought for her??? You're MIL is just a pooper huh.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: go ahead and give them to her, if she is born after christmas they can be her birth-day presents.

jem0622 replied: If she is born on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day (and you are 4 CMs as of yesterday so she better be here by now! LOL. Come on little missy! He he.

Anyway...if she is born on either day then I say yes it is her first Christmas. But honestly...she's a newborn and all she's going to want is Mommy's booby's for Christmas. emlaugh.gif

My DH has a bday on the 27th. And the golden rule is you NEVER mix the holiday w/ the bday. So offensive.

DansMom replied: I am predicting a quick labor---you've already got such a good head start! We're on pins and needles waiting!

Kirstenmumof3 replied: I thought you had that baby already! Sending you lots easy Labour Vibes! Come on Emilie, we can't wait to meet you! I'm so excited for you! biggrin.gif

jen replied: OH How exciting! ELVs! I say give her the gifts now! There is plenty of time to get her next years gifts! LOL! But I would just hang low and not worry about it, if she wants to hoard the gifts until next christmas Emilie will probably appreciate them more anyway! I am so happy for you!!!! I can't wait to meet her! baby.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
Don't worry......we're not planning on mixing the holidays. And no, she won't be *picking a present for her birthdfay from under the tree*....that's just WRONG.

Thanks for all your opinions on the present thing... I'm just a little miffed about it. tongue.gif

jen replied: I would be too! That is a little out of whack for my taste. I like to give ALL my presents at Christmas and I have a real hard time even waiting until then. That is kind of like saying "Hey I bought all this stuff thinking the baby would be here so since she possibly won't be I want to roll these gifts into next year and really let my shopping pay off!". ................ NOT RIGHT! I agree with you. Sorry it is all messed up like that, it shouldn't be! Stick to your guns on this one.!
