Going crazy - need to vent....

Shaykinmom wrote: Hello all.... wavey.gif
I need to vent nothing important but I can't take this snow anymore. On top of that Peter has another cold. This is something like his 6th or 7th (I lost count) this winter. It seems like he will get better and within a week or two he's sick again.

I live in New England and it seems like every week another snow storm. All week its going to be in the 20's again (CRAZY). I like living here and I like the 4 different seasons but I can't stand the snow anymore. I have about 2 feet a snow on my front lawn and it seems like its never going away. And when the snow is gone I'll have to wait until the ground is dry. I need to get out of the house. (I'm a SAHM) I can't wait until its warm and sunny sun.gif and Peter and I can go outside and play. And I can take him tp the park to run around. He's loving the TV to much.

Well I'm sure some can relate and if you live in a warm area. I'm jealous.

Have a good day and thanks for letting me vent. Shannon

Below is Peter in the snow

Maddie&EthansMom replied: well, he is just too cute in his little snowbunny suit! wub.gif

I can't relate. It is beautiful here right now. The only thing I can relate to is the sickness as we all have the flu right now. sad.gif The sudden change in temps is killing us around here. We can't wait til summer time, either.

Hang in there, it will be here before you know it. Until then, I hope Peter stays well and you can catch a little break. I couldn't imagine being cooped up in the house for too long. unsure.gif

A&A'smommy replied: awww well he is cute running around in the snow!!! I'm exactly the oposite I'm jealous of your snow we haven't had snow since I was about 9 years old, that was ten years ago!! ohmy.gif Oh well dunno.gif I hope you get a break soon!!

5littleladies replied: He is so cute!! wub.gif

I know exactly how you are feeling! rolleyes.gif We really haven't had that much snow this year, but this past month we are finally getting caught up. In a way it has made it worse for the kids not having a snowy winter because we had so much mud they couldn't go outside until just recently. Now they are having a blast in the snow but Mommy is pining for spring! I want to sit outside in the grass and enjoy the sunshine! I've got cabin fever! wacko.gif

Hang in there! It will be here before we know it!! sun.gif

AmyO replied: Hello from Texas
It is 76 degrees outside, and has been like that off and on all winter, so I'm a little jealous. My 3 and 9 yr old want it to snow soooo bad. Doesn't look like it will this year. But I feel for you about the colds. My baby girl is not even 4 mos and is on her 6th cold (I think? lost count) cool.gif

Alice replied: I'm on Long Island, so we don't have it nearly as bad as you. Some ideas of places you might be able to go:

- the mall. Even if you only buy a pretzel.

-McDonalds/Burger King play areas. If you go in the morning, before the nursery schools get out, he can have the place pretty much to himself.

- call your local high school and get an athletic schedule. Become a fan of some sport. At this point in the year, you can probably catch playoffs.

- I guess you've already hit the library??

- Go to the local pet store and just look around. He'll be mesmerized by the fish and the puppies.

Good luck!! I always figure that it's winter until after the St. Patrick's Day parade-- think of all the years they march in the snow. (and that's down here in NY). So one more month, and it should start to get nicer. Hold on tight to your sanity.. spring is on its way!!

Shaykinmom replied: Thank you for the ideas. I have done the mall thing the only thing is the closest mall is about 45 mintues away. With the gas prices so high it doesn't happen much.

Well I just heard on the news more snow coming Thurday night. 2-4 inches. Unless the storm moves more north they said could be double that.

It only about 28 degrees here today but at least the sun is out. sun.gif

Thanks for letting me vent.

Alice replied: I just heard 5-8" for us tomorrow night. Peter just had eye surgery and can't push the snowblower, and of course I don't have a clue how to use it!! That's OK, though-- shoveling is the one form of exercise I really enjoy!!

loveydad replied: What a cutie.

Alice replied: I guess you didn't mean me, huh??

Heather replied: We are getting snow tomorrow night sad.gif After the first storm, I was Winter long gone. UGH I can totally relate. THough i am in NJ, we are still getting some snow. I dont like it one bit.

Shaykinmom replied: Well another cold (11 degress...burr) and sunny (what a tease) day here in Mass. Well Heather looks like we are getting the same storm but from the lastest news were down to 1-3 inches. I'm so ready for summer.
