Gift ideas for my wife??

Jason's Papa wrote: My wife's birthday is coming up later this month, and our son Jason is 14 months old. I want to get me wife something from Jason that's cute, special, and will touch her heart.

Any ideas????

Calimama replied: Maybe a birthstone necklace with HIS birthstone? Or go to a jewelers and see what they can come up with. My mom has a ring with all of our kids birthstones in it.. very cute. wub.gif

Jason's Papa replied:
Funny you should say that! I got her a birthstone necklace for last Xmas actually.

I should clarify, we're closing on a house later this month, so funds are hard to come by. I'm looking for something in the $20-$50 range. smile.gif

amynicole21 replied: Something with his pic on it? You can upload pics to any of those photo processing sites (kodak, snapfish, etc) and make t-shirts, calendars, mugs, mouse pads, etc.

Or maybe get baby's handprint or footprint and frame it. wub.gif

Calimama replied: Maybe a "then and now" type of thing? Pictures of her pregnant, then him as a newborn, and growing up.. ending with a new picture you took today. Make a collage out of it and she can hang it somewhere.

Jason's Papa replied:
I like the T-shirt idea... do they do those tiny little 'baby-doll' style T's?

Jason's Papa replied:
I actually did something along those lines for her first Mother's Day. I made a 'diary' using Jason's words, along w/ photos and things like that. BellasMom, it seems as though we think alike, lol. laugh.gif

Calimama replied:
Hahah yes we do.

holley79 replied: Maybe a locket or something with a newborn and now picture in it?

Jason's Papa replied:
That's not a bad idea either...

C&K*s Mommie replied: I am sure you can get the little baby-t's with his pic on it. There may be a local business that can do it for you, otherwise you can check online for companies that do that.

I also suggest it, but RedEnvelope is a nice gift giving site. You can sort potential gifts by the type of event (mothers day, wedding, birthday, etc) or by price range or by the recipient (business partner, father, nephew, etc) among other things.

MotherForever2043 replied:
I like that idea too. And you could also get it engraved. smile.gif I know I would like something like that andi'm a mother of two. And anothe rone on the way. rolleyes.gif

moped replied: If you have lots of pictures of the two of them, why not a movie video montage thing with her favorite song playing......

Boo&BugsMom replied: We have a shop by us called "A Touch of Glaze". Last daddy's day (or Christmas) I had Tanner paint a travel coffee mug for hubby with his handprint on it. They have tons of different things to choose from to paint (mugs, plates, etc.) and they glaze it for you within a few days. Even though he may be too young to actually "paint" something, you can still put his handprint on it and some scribbles. I would love to get something like that too.

PrairieMom replied:
Thats what I was going to suggest. We have a "color me mine" here where you can paint pottery. You could have him paint a coffee mug or something like that and put his hand print on it? I did that for my DH and it was about $20.

Boo&BugsMom replied:
thumb.gif Yep, I think ours was even under that. $15 I think. Very reasonable and oh so precious! Moms LOVE that kind of stuff. smile.gif

MommyToAshley replied:
That's what I was going to suggest. A lot of places sell the hand print kits and frames. (You put the cast of the handprint on one side and the photo on the other... really cute)
