Gift ideas for 13yos

luvmykids wrote: First of all, AGH I can't believe I'm posting in the TEEN forum for Nikka now ohmy.gif

Anyhoo, of course we'll get her clothes, but I need some other ideas. She is getting a wii and some games from her other grandparents, has a phone and ipod and all the other typical teen gadgets. I'm at a loss for what to get her besides clothes blink.gif

Anthony275 replied: does she use itunes? get her itunes giftcard

Jamison'smama replied: A spa day or just a manicure/pedicure?? What is she into..is she a girly girl, into sports or computers? How about lessons of some sort or a membership to something?

luvmykids replied: She's getting an itunes gift card in her stocking. I like the mani/pedi idea...she's not super girly but always has her nails painted. She likes the really funky stuff on her nails, so thats a good idea. She's one of those girly tomboys laugh.gif

Calimama replied: Money, gift cards for clothes, money, shoes and purses, and more money was all I wanted when I was 13. tongue.gif

MommyToAshley replied: I like the mani/pedi idea too.

What about a camera and one of those all-in-one scrapbook kits ? My neice is 13, and she likes to make scrapbooks mostly of her friends. Or, what about a diary and some kind of keepsake chest?

Then, when all else fails -- there's always the mall gift certificate.

Sorry, I am no help. It's been way too long since I was 13. blush.gif

luvmykids replied:
Me too! laugh.gif And boy have things changed since then rolling_smile.gif

She does already have a digital camera and isn't into scrapbooking dry.gif She's hard, she has four sets of grandparents and two sets of parents...seems like everything I think of someone else is already getting her growl.gif

MoonMama replied: Concert tickets? dunno.gif Everyone has pretty much covered all I can think of. But good luck! hug.gif

Anthony275 replied: does she read magazines? get her a subscription to people or something

momofone replied: maybe jewelry or bath and body products. happy.gif

jcc64 replied: Games for the wii or a gift certificate to Best Buy so she can buy them herself. I got my niece a gift card to Hollister. Kids that age are so picky and particular about their "stuff", if you really want to make them happy, let them pick it out themselves. Not much fun for the giver, but it is for the receiver.

luvmykids replied:
I KNOW, her birthday was just this last weekend and I could totally tell which gifts she was less than thrilled about, which was a bit of a suprise since I've always been able to nail it....but that was before she turned 13 rolling_smile.gif

Brias3 replied: I was going to say even one of those docks for the iPod, so she can play music from the iPod in her room without using the headphones?

luvmykids replied: She has one dry.gif

Anthony275 replied: you could get her those point cards for the wii so she can download games on the virtual console

AlexsPajamaMama replied: I like the mani/pedi idea too
Or a basket full of fun girlie stuff to do her nails

A gift card to her fave store to get whatever she wants sounds like a safe gift

rolleyes.gif Im not much help either, times have changed alot since I was that age too

luvmykids replied:
Huh?! laugh.gif What are those and where do you get them?

Anthony275 replied: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii_Points

you can play sega games, snes, atari, nes, n64 games on the wii with these. and of course, you download the internet browser wink.gif

My2Beauties replied: The almighty dollar honey....that's all my 12 year old wants anymore rolleyes.gif
