Gender Play - research

bawoodsmall replied: I said yes. I dont think because a boy plays with dolls he is going to be homosexual imo. They are so young they just play.
Kaitlin'smom replied: dont matter the toy she can play with if she wants, same woudl be true if I had a boy.
austins mom replied: Yes I have let Austin play with dolls. I think it will make him a better daddy one day.
mom21kid2dogs replied: Just a suggestion for a future research paper~it might be more interesting to see how this breaks down between parents of girls and parents of boys. My hypothesis is that there is less of a stigma when girls play with trucks than when boys play with dolls. I'll bet it would come out differently if the gender of the answering parents was factored in as well.
bawoodsmall replied: Good point. I know dh is not thrilled when he sees Aiden playing with a baby but could care less when em is play fighting like boys do.
Calimama replied: She's currently running over Barbie with a tractor.
bawoodsmall replied: I love that child!!! Too funny.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: I don't have a problem with it. Allie plays with Andrew's cars and trucks and LOVES it, and Andrew likes to play with Allie's baby doll more than she does.
lesliesmom replied: I have two girls and one boy. They all play together and play with each other's toys. It's funny to see Barbie riding Thomas the Train or hotwheels in the Littlest Pet Shop. I have more fun watching them to see how they integrate the toys into whatever game they are playing. BTW.. when they "intergrate" the tows, its not my son playing with the "boy toys" or my daughters with the "girl toys" ... it's fair game....
Anthony275 replied: i did it, nothing wrong with that
