Gators in the Burbs...This is getting ridiculous
kit_kats_mom wrote: The nanny just got the girls in the stroller to take them for a walk. they strolled out towards the corner of our street and the neighbors waved her back. The 13 footer with the attitude problem is in the front yard on the corner.
Thank goodness the neighbors were there to wave her off. Could you imagine strolling along and coming up on that?!? Holy holy holy.
I'd called the FWC and reported him as a nusicence gator yesterday and they were coming out tonight to string up a chicken on a hook to try and catch him but I called again and they are expediting it as an emergency. I need to get my video camera. If they catch him where I can see, I'll film it for sure and post it.
I'm a little jumpy now.
C&K*s Mommie replied: ummmm.... Cary you and your nanny are some brave people!
I would have packed up and moved out of dodge long by now. I am scared of dogs, and many other things let alone gators!
If you spot him and catch video, I look forward to seeing it.
amynicole21 replied: Egads! I hope FWC gets there soon - somebody's pet is bound to go missing soon - if not worse
Kaitlin'smom replied: oh man I woudl be homebound for sure, and only travilin in my car. Eeeekkkk I am so glad someone was there to warn her.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Omg how scary! I'm glad the neighbors were able to warn her. I hope the FWC is able to catch him!
coasterqueen replied: Yikes!!!! Hope they catch that thing.
kit_kats_mom replied: It's a party in Cary's back yard. The gator guy is here with his helper, the sherrifs office just left, the Tampa Tribune photographer and reporter are here and then a few neighbors.
The gator went back into the water. The gator catcher thinks he's between 10 to 13 feet long. :o  They set bait out and the big old dinosaur is watching it but not going for it yet. I'm taking lots of pics.
This is the gator catcher setting a hook in my back yard.
My2Beauties replied: ACK, I hope they catch him and soon!
lisar replied: I wanna see it. If you do get pics PLEASE PLEASE share them
kit_kats_mom replied: here is the gator swimming. that's the tip of the bait hook in my yard in the foreground.
redchief replied: Heheh... It looks like Nessie!
coasterqueen replied: Freaky! That gator catcher doesn't look like a very professional catcher. I would have thought they'd be dressed in uniform.
I agree with Ed, does look like Nessie!
Kaitlin'smom replied: wheres the crock/gator hunter when you need him
CantWait replied: Holy smokes, hope they catch that buggar. Good Luck.
kit_kats_mom replied: ROFL at Ed. No, the fish and wildlife commission farms out the actual dangerous jobs to those with no education and huge kahunas. This guy is a contractor (Stan the gator man) and if he catches them, he can do what he pleases...that's where the money is. He's going to kill this one, sell the meat and probably the skin too.
He thinks the gator will not take the bait for a few hours so I'll just sit and wait.
BTW, the photographer from the Tampa Trib was a HOTTIE MCHOTSTERSON!!! thank goodness I put on my makeup today.
3xsthefun replied: OMG! That is scary! I hope they can catch him!
CantWait replied: You're to funny
JAYMESMOM replied: I hope they catch him soon. We watch a lot of Animal Planet and it is amazing how courageous these alligator hunters are in different cities they get really close - too close in my opinion. I would be hiding in my house.
coasterqueen replied:
I just spit out my coffee at that one!
redchief replied: ROFL right back at you!!!
BAC'sMom replied:
A&A'smommy replied: OMG thats crazy!!!
C&K*s Mommie replied: you are a hoot, Cary!
