We just got our contract to lock in our propane rates for 2009. They went from $1.80 a gallon to $2.38 a gallon. mad.gif That's almost 60 cents a gallon more. We use 200 to 300 gallons a month a better part 1/2 a year. We are going to be in so much trouble with this. sad.gif

When I bought my van in Sept it only cost me 28-29 to fill up from E. Now from 1/4 of a tank it cost me 53.25 this morning. mad.gif

PrairieMom replied: We are at $3.95 -ish here. It will cost me $75 to fill up the tank. Thank goodness we don't have to drive as much this summer. I am saving over 50 miles a week not having to get Ben to school.
DH has been riding his bike 20 miles to work and back (40 miles a day) for the past couple weeks, and I refuse to drive anywhere. This week I drove to the grocery store and that is IT.
Amazing how many things you find that you don't REALLY have to do when it means getting on the bike to get there. laugh.gif I have saved a lot of $ that way. tongue.gif

My Dh wants to do that, but it already takes him 45 minutes to drive to work - I don't know how much longer it would take him to bike there but being gone 10 hours a day is enough. dry.gif When he's going to school we'll be living about half an hour from school (driving) - maybe he can bike there I don't know. unsure.gif

$3.89 here in PA for almost a week now
