Gas Prices... - how high?

I'll be leaving for my job training in Charlotte on Sunday and I've heard that I should definitely avoid Tennessee for gas if I can... fun times!

luvmykids replied: In the town I live in, $3.67, but if you're going to the next town anyway it's worth it to fill up there for $3.37.

eta: I'm super happy that diesel is finally down though, $3.99!!!!

5littleladies replied: We went down 30 cents overnight the other day and are now at $3.39. It isn't as low as I'd like it, but hey-I'll take it!

Nina J replied: $1.50 or something. We go by litres. It takes about $50 to fill up my car and I haven't needed to get more fuel for nearly 2 weeks, and I drive every day. Not far though, everything is close enough.

I do know that we have more then a few gas stations that have closed down though. In the small town Izabella goes to school in there were 3 gas stations on the same street (the only street really LOL) and two are gone. They have big cardboard signs outside that says "We ran out of gas!".

luvmykids replied: This might be a dumb question, but why is diesel so cheap suddenly? All summer it was at least $1 more per gallon, and now it's $1 less. Demand?

I went driving the other day and saw a sign on a old, no longer in use, gas station and it was 1.20. made me want to cry
used to take me 20 to fill my tank and now it's closer to 43. sigh..
