I try not to complain about the prices though honestly. I thought about it a while back when I had moaned about them and then gone into McDonalds promptly there after and spent $5 on a value meal. It was like a light went off... we spend so much money each day on coffee or pop (or soda or coke... whatever you call it ) or other things we truly don't need and then we complain when we have to buy gas...

It sucks, but it's life and if I'm gonna drive, then I'm gonna have to buy it.

My brother's truck takes diesel, which is at $4.09 right now so maybe I shouldn't be so bent out of shape, but still....

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Oh you guys are killing me!!! I seriously paid $3.98/gal yesterday, and that was actually cheaper than up the street which was more like $4! It was around $57 to fill up my station wagon here in central coast CA and I'm doing a lot more driving than I did back in CO.

HuskerMom replied: When I got gas the other day it was $3.19. I don't really complain to much about it though, I never fill up my car completely so I usually just end up putting in $20 every week or so. And Dh carpools with his dad to work so he doesn't drive his pickup too much, which is a huge gas hog. And Dh is racing this summer but the racing fuel is cheaper then the gas we put in the car. I wish I could put racing fuel in my cavalier!

austins mom replied: Yeah but it will drop again soon.. dh is a truck driver.. luckly hes not independent but he told me that there is talk of independent driver's going on stike. and if that happens the feds will have no choice but to drop prices or there will be no shipping of anything (ex. food)
