GRRRRRRRRRR - I look like I just had a baby
mckayleesmom wrote: which I did, but still. I feel like a big fat slug. Im even wearing green. Where do I get a fat girl ticker from?? I had to take my size 14 jeans back and get a 16 yesterday . I am already back at my pre pregnancy weight,,,but that was fat too. With Mckaylee the doctor sewed my stomach up really tight and I had a really flat stomach...flatter then I had before , but this time he just sewed up on the same insision and I was bigger this time. So now I have that fat too. I would rather have 2 scars and a flat tummy. I know Im suppose to take a month off before excersising, but I feel really really good. I even fell off the bed the other day and it didn't hurt...lol. Do you think it would be bad to excersise early??
MomToMany replied: I would wait. You could start bleeding again. Take it easy for another month!
5littleladies replied: I think you shouldn't be so hard on yourself! You did just have a baby and you should take some time for your body to heal itself. You have plenty of time to lose the baby weight later on. Just try and take it easy.
A&A'smommy replied: Oh hun you will loose your weight if you are going to exercise start out light with a little walk or something that wont be too hard on your body. And then you can work yourself up!
MomofJandB replied: I would take it easy a little longer. I overdid it at a wedding(dancing and just having fun) too soon after one of my kids and was doubled over in pain the next day. I almost went to the hospital, but after a day of rest I was fine. If dancing and just being on my feet at a wedding could do that, who knows what exercising could do.
Ok, my question is...How did you fall off the bed?! LOL
mckayleesmom replied: We have a really high 4 poster bed and when I went to step off it I slipped on a magazine that dh had laying next to it......lol.....I was laughing at the time,,but I told dh that if I had still been sore when that happened I would have shot him.
Boys r us replied: Haaa... Oh dear, I suppose it's not nice of me to laugh, but your post was funny(the part about falling off of the bed and it not hurting)! Anyhow, I would DEFINITELY wait on the whole exercise bit! Give your body a chance to heal and to drop the weight!! When I got pg with Braedon, I gained 80 pounds, 40 of it fell off on it's own almost immedietly, I think your body will shed some of it..give it a few weeks!
mckayleesmom replied: With both my kids I was exactly 172 when I delivered them. With Mckaylee I was 142 imediately afterwards and with Russell I was 160..now Im 155. I feel huge still. Plus going through my old clothes and giving them to my size 5/6 sister didn't help much either. I found my size 9 jeans and almost lost it. That was the biggest pair too.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Hun, a lot of it is still swelling. I would wait awhile. It takes a good year to get back to normal after having a baby. Give yourself some time. I'm sure you look great!
kimberley replied: awww hon, i know how you feel . took me a lot longer to lose the baby weight after Jade than with the boys. and even now with dropping the weight, i feel like my skin doesn't fit anymore . i need to tone up. just wait a little longer til the doc gives you the okay then work out all you want. glad you didn't hurt yourself when you fell. i woulda picked up that magazine and whacked DH with it if it was him LOL.
mammag replied: I would recommend waiting a little. Or like someone else said, just start walking. If you end up hurting yourself you will have to wait even longer to work out.
Give yourself time. I know it's hard. I had Keegan 3 months ago and haven't lost all the wait but I'm making improvements so I'm trying to just feel good about that and stop comparing myself to how I looked before and other people. You'll get there.
texasp3 replied: Chill, c-section sister.
I've had two and looked awful after both. It's part of the deal. It takes your body a long time to heal inside - it's MAJOR surgery. Don't push it, you'd hate to hurt yourself and have to wait EVEN LONGER to get back in shape, wouldn't you?? How frustrating would that be?
This second time, the doc cut out all the scar tissue from my first c-section and did a much better job stitching me back up. I think I might actually have a decent tummy again someday... should I ever decide to do a sit-up or two.
My2Beauties replied: I think if you take a walk or something you would be ok, but hold off on any realy real exercising!!! I'm sure you look great!
Kirstenmumof3 replied: Don't be so hard on yourself, I'm sure you look beautiful! I would hold on exercising for at least another month, you don't want to rip your incession.
