GRRRRR! - My Turn to vent!

So, I placed some bids on Ebay and hope I get the stuff in time. Ashley just loves Barney and is so excited to be having a Barney party. I hope I can give it to her.

Yes, I was able to cancel... and did so. I also let them know how unhappy I was that I was told the wrong ship date and wasn't informed it was going to be delayed.

I thought about picking up some purple plates and cups too and just decorating with balloons. I am sure that won't make a difference to the kids, but the big thing is that I wanted the pull string pinata for them. It was the only game I was planning on playing.

Like Amy said, maybe you can get a refund on the backordered stuff.

I know Wal-Mart has pinatas.

I checked at Birthday Express. They don't have a Barney pinata, but got Barney stuff.

DansMom replied: Uggh!! I'd be furious. Stuff like this seems to be the norm now---customer service and quality products are luxuries nowadays, I'm starting to think. It's getting to where I'm genuinely surprised when I get what I ordered, on time, and as advertised. You must be so disappointed! I hope you can throw something together that you'll be happy with (I'm sure Ashley will have a great birthday no matter what the theme or game, but you had a great plan in place and this stupid company bailed on you).

I would just use what you have and get coordinating colored items to go along with it! You could always do something like pin the tail on the barney????? Just have a big pic of him blown up!

jem0622 replied: Sorry to hear that...but rest assured that she won't know the difference or hold you to it. I think getting the purple plates and such is a great idea. Go for the themed cake. And see if you can find any Barney stuff to stick up or sit out.

That really stinks but you know what the kids will have fun anyways..
and yes walmart has some really cute pinata's if you dont see one you like ask someone if they have anymore, I did this last year.

I know us moms just want all to be perfect for our kids special day!

Heather replied: Man Dee Dee that really sucks. I would have been raising some havoc big time. I hope you can win some stuff. The purple plates etc, is a good idea. That pull-string pinata is so cool we had one at Alison's party. I know it will be a cool party no matter what

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I just went through this when I had Maddie's party. It made me soooo furious. I'm so sorry you aren't getting the pinata. I know how it is to have expectations whether the kids know it or not. You are creative....I know she will have a great b-day.

Kaitlin'smom replied: awww I am so sorry they pulled that with you, did you try the Party Place up in Huber by the current Wal-MArt and Cub Foods, they have tons of pinatas, just makesure yougo in the back way and advoid the 202/70 traffic mess with the construction.
