Freaked out!

mummy2girls wrote: I was watching the news and this bulletin came on. They said ..ladies living in the callingwood area is to keep thier doors locked at all times and never walk alone at night. I dropped everything because i live in the callingwood area. This sexual predator is on the loose. I guess this guy attacked a lady in 2 different parks just blocks from where i am. And also thsi girl was sleeping in the living room on the couch and she awoke to find this man laying on top of her. Her boyfriend heard her and jumped up and grabbed the guy but the guy punched him and took off. Im so freaked out because all this happened within blocks from me... ohmy.gif I am so on edge tonight!

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: There was a serial rapist in the area where I used to live (2003) for weeks it was all we heard on the news. But they did say keep your doors locked and your windows closed/locked because 99% of the time they would just look for an open window or unlocked door.
Stay safe and try not to stress too much.

amymom replied: Stay safe, my thoughts are with you.

MM'sMama replied: OMG ohmy.gif that is so scary. Honey keep safe and P&PT's coming your way be aware of your surroundings hug.gif.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Stay safe, Shelly. I'll keep you in my thoughts.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I know it must be late, but go to the Salvation Army tomorrow and buy a man's pair of shoes. Leave them outside on your doorstep at all times. My sister used to do this when she lived alone in college. It may sound silly, but it gives an impression that there is more than one person living there. Or you can even get one of those beware of dog signs and put on your back fence....oh, are you in an apartment hon? I guess the dog thing wouldn't work. But a dog bowl on the doorstep would work too if your landlord is okay with it.

You're in my thoughts. I am sure everything will be fine!

mummy2girls replied:
the men shoes doesnt stop him because the place he got into and laid on top of that poor girl and sexually assaulted her.. her boyfriend was in the same room as her ohmy.gif so i dont think a apir of shoes may scare him away. but let me tell you i will be keeping my screen door, patio galss door, and all windows and such locked at all times! It just freaks me out he is out there.

MM'sMama replied: hug.gif more hugs honey hug.gif

aspenblue1 replied: Wow how scary. Stay safe.

Jamielou replied: ohmy.gif stay safe love2.gif

Nathansmom replied: We live in the same neighborhood, and I was pretty paranoid last night. My DH works nights, so it's just Nathan and I at night. I jumped at every noise all night long. Last night was the one time I was glad the baby was up all night.

A&A'smommy replied: OH SHELLY!!!!! I'm praying for yours and Jennas safety please keep us updated I hope they catch him before he hurts someone else!!! ((((((BIG HUGS)))))

ions_momma replied: Thats sooo scary! I will definately keep you in my prayers!!

mummy2girls replied:
you live in edmonton? where abouts?

Nathansmom replied: I'm in Callingwood...Cedarville apartments. Where abouts are you?

I'm still scared tonight after watching yet another story on the news. I hope they catch him soon!
