So I just read your STORY...........and I am sitting at my desk crying. It is a wonderful story of you and Allison - I really enjoyed it! I am sorry you and Allison had ot go thru all that but it does make you stornger.
Is Frankie doing alright? Is he over the worst? Does he still have this or did the operation help him?
Sorry to be so personal asking these questions, but your story really got me thinking and it was just sooo nice to read!!!!
Thanks
Jen
guertin31 replied: Hey!
Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you read the story part of the web site. Most people skip over it and just check out the pics...
Frankie is doing soooooo sooooo well. He is perfect and all of his milestones he is reaching. The doctors are so pleased with his results and he bounced back like nothing happened....
As far as his surgery -
Ali had the C section, and he was rushed to surgery right there... The surgens basicly told us that there will be major complications and that he might not be able to come home for 3-4 months. Well, after 3 hours in surgery, the dr came and told me that the surgery went perfect and there was NO complications whatsoever. He was in the NIC unit for only 3 weeks! Honestly, we were blessed... Allisons pregnency, somethng that should have been fun and exciting, was the most stressful and hardest thing we went through. But the end result is my son...
Another wierd thing to note...
We were the FIRST ones to have been diagnosed with our son having Gastrosicics... Her OBGYN has not seen a case in over 15 years... After us, he has now 6 more cases... We stay in touch with them all and give them support and try to keep faith so they can have the same outcome...
Sorry if Im blabbing... I get misty sometimes when I think back... I'm glad you asked...
moped replied: So is he cured??? SO to speak?
JAYMESMOM replied: I was brought to tears as I read your story on the website. I am glad to hear though that he is doing better. Kids are much stronger than us when it comes to shots.
Your story about you and allison reminded me of my DH and I. He swore he would never re-marry after his divorce and 6 1/2 months after we met we were married. It was love at first site.
May you and Allison only grow closer and may Frankie only grow stronger.
guertin31 replied: Thank you sooo much! Allison and the baby just suprised me for lunch! Its a good thing when you are happily married... I never thought I ever would be...
guertin31 replied: There are no long term effects with his condition. Cured, well, he is my son so he will be a nut job like me
However, we are definatly far away from teh danger zone and just enjoying our new life...
My wife and Frankie just suprised me for lunch. I mean, this is what life is all about! Ive lived many lives, and Ive seen alot of pain, and I would do it al again if I knew that my beautiful wife and son were my future...
Im lucky, like all of you are too !!!
