jakesmommy08 wrote: Ok........so i found out that if i go i august instead of sept. i can save $500! Now my only question is......which airline do i fly???? I have NO cule! also its over $100 for insurance......do i need this???? all opinions welcome! thanks

MommyToAshley replied: I personally wouldn't go in August. It is their peak season, they will be extremely busy, and it will be HOT and HUMID. Just my opinion though -- obviously a lot of people choose to go at this time.

Did you ask about other deals available in Sept?

lisar replied: I never purchase the insurance. As for the airline. Well I never fly I live 3 hours from disney its just easier for us to drive. And August is going to be HOT here in Florida, and it is really busy at Disney. I am going to disney on Sept 4th with my sisters dh. Its our birthday we share the same birthday so we are going for FREE on that day.

jakesmommy08 replied: I asked about sept and they said as of right now there are no specials. I signed up for email and they said to check back to the special offers occasionaly. I hope will get the discount you got!

luvmykids replied: On the airline, I'd just go with the best combination of ease and price....you probably don't want to have to change planes (depending on the age of your child/ren) and definitely nothing early, etc....Did you get any quotes that included flights?

MommyToAshley replied:
We're still trying to figure out our dates, but like I said if I end up going at a different time than when we originally planned, I will gladly give you my 40% off code. I wonder if they sent us these specials because we've bought tickets twice before or if it's because we signed up for the Disney Planning CD. Maybe try ordering that and see they email you some specials... just a thought.

jakesmommy08 replied: Ya i have priced including airfare. Right now we are looking at, for the 7 days 6 night, the basic food plan, airfare.....about $2800. Which i really think we would be able to get it cheaper when it gets closer. I found that on there website you can instant message someone from there and ask them all your questions. which was really nice! i requested the CD and i asked about the discount and they said they just send them out randomly. so maybe Ill get one!! (what were the stipulations with the 40% coupon. was it on the hotel?)

lovemy2 replied: We purchased the insurance - it was piece of mind - whether you are traveling with the kids or just have kids what if something comes up that you can't go - someone is sick, etc. its worth the $100.....IMO and no way would I go in August - no way never no way - too hot, too humid, too busy - I would try late October - and do you belong to AAA?

Calimama replied:
I agree.

jakesmommy08 replied: no im not part AAA. I have ready different websites and alot of them say its not worth it to get a package from disney. that it would be cheaper just to buy everything individualy. Anyone have an opinion on that? thanks to everyone who is replyin because i am completely clueless about this kina stuff!

Kaitlin'smom replied: all you can do is price things out, get a note book and search different sites for flights, hotels and combos. make notes in the note book. sometimes is cheeper, and sometimes it not. I have done a lot of travel planning for people. gl

lovemy2 replied:
We did it through AAA and started off with a Value Resort and saved over $400 over going straight through Disney and then got bumped up to the Caribbean Resort for a total of $28 more for all 5 of us.....two rooms so it was well worth it - AAA gets new packages, deals all the time so the earlier you book the better chance you have of getting upgraded for very little extra money. Plus they will make ALL your reservations at restaurants, character dining, etc. etc. and you get a bunch of other freebie kind of things - story time with a princess, and some other things....well worth it...
