Followup with DFS - After Conners escape

DansMom replied: Wow, I missed the thread---did he escape? That really could happen anywhere to anyone. Daniel's already learning to unlock the screendoor lock himself, and early in the summer we had a couple near-escapes. I'm glad DFS was good about understanding the situation.

mammag replied: I missed it too so I went back and read. That must have been so frightening! I'm glad they are closing it and you can start to put this behind you. I know what you mean about the guilt though. I'm going through it now with the whole burn thing....but I know we are both good mom's!

We had to put the latch locks at the top of the doors when Alec learned to unlock them.

Mom2Boyz replied: Thanks guys It was incredibly scary!!!!! I'm just thankful everything turned out the way it did. Things could have been soooooooooo much worse. He definatly made a memory that night LOL maybe not a good one, but a memory none the less.

MommyToAshley replied: I have been MIA and I had to hunt down the post too, OMG, how scarey that must have been! But, it really could happen to any of us. I am glad that the DFS realizes this too. It was a good idea getting the lock, you can probably sleep a little better at night.
