Finding out the sex? - Will you find out, if given the chance??

Heather wrote: I am not sure right now...I have a feeling it is a boy. DH wants to find out, and I guess it only makes sense to considering, I liked to be prepared. It is still a surprise either way...just will know a little earlier that is all smile.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: We found out, with both - but we didn't base ourselves on it.... we didn't take off any tags, and we were in the process of buying a house when Zach was born, so it's not like we had a room to decorate....this time, we know it's a girl, but same thing again - we didn't take off any tags, and we haven't painted the room yet. We won't until she is born, anyways. She'll be staying in a basinette in our room for the first month at least...so it's not a big deal.

We're just too curious!

juliajaj replied: We found out the 1st time around & will probably find out this time too. Olivia will be moving into a different bedroom so the baby will take the room she's in now. It's very gender neutral (blue sky, clouds & sun on the walls), so we didn't decorate based on the baby's sex.

I'm hesitant to rely too much on what the U/S shows. Most the time they're accurate, but sometimes they aren't. When the doctor told us we were having a girl, I believed it about 75%.

MomToJade&Jordan replied: I found out with Jade so I will probably want to when I have a second. DH and I were discussing it last night, but I'm not ready to try for another. I want to be closer to home when that time comes.

jem0622 replied: We did not find out with my eldest DS. I did not find out with my bd either. I found out with Gabe and plan to find out about this little pea too b/c if it is a girl then we have nothing!

MomToMany replied: I found out with all the boys, but not with Hannah. We didn't this time, either, and we didn't want to. It's been proven in my family twice now that you can't trust u/s's!

I loved the surprise of not knowing the gender when PG with Hannah. This time around is even better. We'll be extremely happy with either boy or girl, so it's not a big deal for us to find out.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: We didn't find out with Maddie and always said on the second one we would. Now, I just don't think it is possible. It is killing me....I really want to know, but I can live with not knowing. It is so exciting to wait. And it is exciting for everyone around you waiting for that call when the baby is born. So, I don't know. I guess right now either would be fine. wink.gif

victoire2002 replied: We're definitely are going to find out. I am really into planning, so I need to know! Besides, if it's a girl this time, then I need to be able to stock up on girl-y things!

I don't have a feeling either way. DH thinks it is a girl this time, but my mom thinks it's a boy. I don't know what I think.... just hoping for healthy 9 months.

I have already forgotten... when do we get the U/S that tells us the sex? Week 18-19?

A&A'smommy replied: i found out the sex of my baby i couldnt wait i had to know!!! biggrin.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied:

They should be able to tell by then. My u/s was scheduled for week 22.

Linda replied: Nah, i dont think i really want to find out .
I would rather the surprise in January.
Me and Craig have both agreed so i just cant wait till then!

My2Carebears replied: I had to go without finding out the sex of my first and it was hard. i wanted to know so bad, but nope! With Angel We really wanted to know, since we had all the girl stuff! If I were to get pregnant again I would want to find out!! Abri was my first surpise and I really wanted to know then..lol

dolfinrse replied: We found out with Zack, but it took a few u/s for them to be able to really see. At my supposed last u/s the tech told me she couldn't tell. When I ended up w/ kidney stones I asked the tech to check and she told me it was definitely a boy. I had my dr. check a few weeks later and he told me a girl probably. I ended up at my dr. again for the kidney stones and when he checked again, he told me 100% no doubt a boy.

I think we will find out again with our next one too. I can't stand the suspense of not knowing. blush.gif

chloe&tysmommy replied:
hey, when I was 6 mths pregnant I had kidney stones also! Boy, was that painful.....I had an u/s done too and was so tempted to ask what the sex was but I didn't lol....It was a great surprise when she was born and I'm glad I didn't know (although I had a strong feeling it was a girl). But for the next one.....I'm not sure happy.gif

MommyToAshley replied: I would have to know...LOL. rolling_smile.gif It would just drive me nuts not knowing. I was one of those kids that would peek at the Christmas presents under the tree and then wrap them back up so no one would know. blush.gif blush.gif The suspense would just kill me.

A&A'smommy replied: LOL M2A I was the same way all the way up until i was 15...lol sad huh!?! rolling_smile.gif
