Find out the sex - Please help
Littlejojames wrote: Craig has now decided that we should wait and not find out what were having as he now wants it to be a surprise. But i really want to know so i can prepare and buy things which are made for a specific sex.
Please help me to realise which i should do????
coasterqueen replied: Well I vote find out early on, lol.
Dh and I have this opinion about finding out. It's still a suprise because you have to wait between 16 and 20 weeks to find out. We saw no reason to drive ourselves crazy for 9 months. ROFL. We are also practical people and felt it was best to know so we can prepare better. That's the anal obsessive/compulsive person in me talking.
amynicole21 replied: I say don't find out!! There's plenty of gender-neutral stuff out there
MomToMany replied: Don't find out. It's the only real true surprise in life. I knew with the boys, but not with the girls. It was great not knowing; gave me plenty to daydream about . We're not finding out with any more we might have.
Plus, like Amy said, there's plenty of gender neutral stuff out there. And you never know; the U/S tech might be wrong too; 2 of my sisters were told they were 100% sure they were having girls and bought everything in pink. Well, they had boys ! So, you never know what might happen.........
A&A'smommy replied: I say go with what you feel if you REALLY want to know find out but if not tell them NO NO lol sorry I'm flipping out over everything today.... I found out with Alyssa and was glad for it I couldn't handle it I HAD to know
MommyToAshley replied: I really wanted to know and so did DH. I wanted to get girly stuff for a girl and boy stuff for a boy. I know there is gender nuetral stuff, but it just wasn't the same. I guess I am silly.
Maddie&EthansMom replied:
Huh?
We decided to wait to find out with Maddie, but always said with our second we would find out early. So, we did. It wasn't ruined. We were still surprised.
Kaitlin'smom replied: its really up to you, but I had to find out I pretty much knew what I was having from the moment I learned I was PG, but had to know for sure since I was so far along, I needed to pre-pair.
mama3x replied: I didn't vote but wanted to tell you about my last pg.
DH wanted to know, he was NOT going to wait. I did NOT want to know, I was GOING to wait!
SO the ultrasound dr. took an u/s of the genital area and gave it to DH to determine himself what the gender was. I didn't look at it.
If you want to know and think you can go without telling him what the gender is, go for it.
HOWEVER if this is your first baby, I think a surprise would be nice. I didn't find out with my first 2 kids but I did with this one.
Much luck!
Kirstenmumof3 replied: I didn't find out with any of my children. I loved the surprise and phoning everyone and saying "It's a Boy" or "It's a Girl" I thought that was nice. I had a lot of neutral stuff before I had my babies, but I always bought 1 or 2 boy and girl outfits. Plus it's nice to go shopping after they are born. Take a day out for yourself after the baby is born. But in the end you need to go with your gutt! I think someone already said this. Go with what you feel!
Littlejojames replied: We have decided not to find out.
Craig is really sticking by his guns and said that he might not cry as much if he knew what were having when its born.
So i have decided that its easire not to find out and else i would have to poke him in the eye to make him cry when he/she is born if we knew.
MomToMany replied: Yay for not finding out!! I liked not knowing, too.
LOL, about poking Craig in the eye!
coasterqueen replied: LOL. You may just be poking his eye out when you are in labor anyways.
I'm so excited for you. I think it's great you are waiting.
MommyToAshley replied: LOL! I think this was a reply to Kaitlin'sMoms post about where to go on her anniversary. I must have had more than one window open with Parenting Club messages. I usually read/reply in between uploading files for work, I must have clicked on the wrong window.
