Feeding Tube
Kirstenmumof3 wrote: The doctors and dietition have decided that if Spencer doesn't eat by Thursday, they are going to put in a feeding tube. The tube will go in his nose, down his throat and into his stomach. I asked if they were going to have more nurses on hand when they did this to hold him down and the dietition was shocked and asked if they needed too. I agree that he needs to get something into his stomach to get the stomach muscles working and I support the decission of the feeding tube, now that said, I won't be in the room when they do it. I've hear enough screaming and really don't think I could take it.
I'm also meeting with the doctor tomorrow to discuss Spencer discharge, doesn't look like discharge is going to be happening for a while.
jacobsmama replied: You are a great mother. I hope that Spencer starts eating and doesn't have to do the feeding tube but if Not then at least you know that he is getting the nutrients he needs. I hope that he gets to go home soon.

But I know how strong you both have been through this whole situation, and I pray that both of you can stay strong and keep your eyes on the day you will be able to be home with him again. Continue prayers for your entire family.
