Favorite guy/girl for your son/daughter?

toady_buckshot_noodle wrote: Do any of you with teenagers or single adult children find youselves with a favorite guy or girl to "date" your child?

I am guilty!!
My daughter is a teenager and she like a few guys (of course) it seems to change every few days. But there is one particular boy that I just adore and I find myself pushing her toward him.

I know, I know, you will all say I need to let her decide for herself!!

I was just wondering if anyone else is guilty of trying to pick and choose "the right one" for your kids.

C&K*s Mommie replied: Do you think she is leaning towards this guy you have in mind?? Or is she still flat in the middle of just dating around, and not leaning towards having a b/f?

mckayleesmom replied: Im hoping that McKaylee grows up and marries my best friends little boy....He's an older man...Calvin is 5. laugh.gif

They would be the perfect pair...he just got caught eating an ice cream sandwich behind their recliner the other day... rolling_smile.gif wub.gif wub.gif

mckayleesmom replied: oh..and Russell isn't allowed to get married...he has to stay with mommy forever... laugh.gif wub.gif

toady_buckshot_noodle replied: I am not sure. She likes 3 different, and I do mean DIFFERENT (personalities, looks, everything), guys. I know she cares deeply for my favorite because he is the only one she has ever cried over. He is diabetic and wears an insulin pump but is going through the rebelling stage and does not take care of himself like he should. She is young but she truly understands he is not healthy but still cares about him. The problem is he is her best friends brother, so she runs into other problems there.

kit_kats_mom replied: lol what a funny question. rolling_smile.gif

I dont' have kids that age but I know that my mom tried to set me up with her current husband before she finally realized that he liked her. rolling_smile.gif

Just for the record, he's 10 years older than me and 10 years younger than her. laugh.gif

mckayleesmom replied:
That is hillarious... rolling_smile.gif

toady_buckshot_noodle replied:

Anyway....

kit_kats_mom:

huggybugboy replied: Miles and my friends daughter, Olivia were destined from the start. She always kissed my belly when I was pregnant. wub.gif She's two years older. My mom pushed dh and me together when I was 16 and he was 23. rolleyes.gif Well it worked out! I guess mother knows best. tongue.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:
laugh.gif I dunno you want 2 toublemakes together as teenagers? laugh.gif

A&A'smommy replied:
awwww love2.gif

luvbug00 replied: I must admit even now i try and see what kind of boys Mya has made friends with and so far it's the trubblemakers of course. But they are all ADORABLE kids so I'm gonna be ok when she turns 45 and decides to marry. smile.gif

luvmykids replied: Well Carrie Ann and I are planning an arranged marriage between Colt and Jade, Jimmie and I have plans for Macie and Callum, so that leaves Kylie to pick her own emlaugh.gif

Looks like I'm covered. wink.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied: Brooke already has a "boyfriend" - SIL's godson. Harley is 4 and she follow him around and kisses him and gets really excited when he comes to stay with SIL for the weekend. He's a good kid so it's okay with me if she marries him. rolling_smile.gif
