luvbug00 replied: Karen what about a gift basket of small stuff from target. ( like from the dollar section , which btw is the best!) like golf picture frame and put the girls picture in it and they have a golf coffee mug and other stuff they come out with alot of cool stuff durring the summer.

MyLuvBugs replied: Well, Dh has been complaining about not having a back scrubber in the shower anymore, so "lorelei" bought him a new one. And I'm going to get him the new Pink Panther movie (He LOVES the pink panther). My biggest prob is that our Anniversary is this Wednesday and I still have no idea what to get him for that.

Golf? Do they have cool golf stuff in the dollar section?! DH and my Dad are both into golf.

I got DH and FIL tickets to see WWE the saturday night before Father's.

I got my Dad a grill apron and it came with big grill utensils(sp) also I got him a tv tray...lol...it's more of a joke gift cuz he will only eat in front of the tv, and he jokes that he is a grandfather now and needs a tv tray. Also I took a picture of the 1956 truck that he is working on restoring and framed it for him to put in his new office.

My DH is getting: bah bah da ba!!! A Brand New Roomba Vaccum Cleaner.
Ours died a few weeks ago after almost 4 years of near daily use. He hates sweeping, which must be done after every meal in the kitchen (thanks kids!) & he's been talking about how much he misses "her" meaning roomba.

We are having new tile and carpet installed thoughout the house so I may actually buy two.

I'll have the girls do some sort of craft for him too and I'll probably order another tee shirt and do handprints like last year.

Side note. I got a raise which I found out about officially today, so he said the carpet and the tile are for that. Ahem. We'd picked it all out over a week ago.

CantWait replied: I got Ron a plaque for the new house that says something about how father's are the first heros in a child's life I also got him a shirt that I'm going to send to him in New Brunswick since he won't be home for Father's Day. I got it at Old Navy, and it says Best Dad, 2006. Something like that anyway.

This year I've ordered it from Snapfish.com and when it arrives, we will put the girls handprints on it just like last years. :wub:

sorry, just curious...this year for Moms Day I gave my wife a weekend to herself, no hubby or child, I took my son with me turkey hunting with me. and then had him make her something

My dad will be out of the country. So he will get his gift when he gets back, I'm just not sure what I am going to get him yet.

Jamison'smama replied: I need to come up with an idea that the kids can make. One year I traced Jamison's hand with a paint pen onto a ceramic planter and she picked out a plant for his office. When the plant grew out of it, he used it as a pencil holder.

I may make new stepping stones. I did that for him last father's day with just Jamison's--now I need one for Jack.

coasterqueen replied: I think my problem is DH isn't THAT sentimental of a guy. I know he has pictures plastered all over his office of the girls, but he won't go too sentimental at work because those engineers can be brutal.

I've bought him "best dad" t-shirts and he loves them but is too embarassed to wear them out in public. It's not that he doesn't love the stuff or think it's sweet, he's just not that kind of guy. Don't know how to explain it.

He just makes it hard to buy for.

My dad...... no idea >.. he has everythign and needs nothing SO maybe just lottery tickets. he likes those! (We usually do red sox tickets every year for him but his sumer is crazy busy so it'll be too hard to schedule them as a suprise
