Everyone cross your fingers - for the third time now
My2Beauties wrote: Ok the last house we put a bid in on and they came back too high,w e walked away. Well we did the right thing, because they came back to us and have lowered the price considerably, we still bid about $2k less than he was asking, which is $3500 more than we bid last time, so hopefully they bite and we can finally move If this falls through, I'm done looking for a couple of weeks, I have spent way too many man hours searching for a house these past few months! So please eveyrone cross your fingers that our bid is accepted and if he does counter that it's something worth looking at and not something totally crazy like he did last time. We really like this house. We are supposed to know something by 7 pm tonight. I'll let you guys know what I find out.
coasterqueen replied: Will do! So which house is this? Can't wait to hear the good news.
My2Beauties replied: It's not one that I've shown pics of. It was one that we bid on a few weeks back that when he came back he actually countered for more than the list price because he realized all of the sudden he wasn't going to make any money even with his list price. So we were like well oh well and just walked away because his counter was ridiculous, it was $13k more than we bid and $8k more than his initial list price. I guess after regrouping and re-running numbers he realized he could get away with $3k off of his original list (I personally think the guy was PO'd by our offer and took it personally and just countered something crazy out of anger, but hey who knows, our original bid wasn't bad, it was only $5 off list price.) Anywhoo - bottom line is he came back to us once we saw the price had dropped, our agent emailed him and said I thought he was raising the price and he goes no we were going to call you today we regrouped and here is what we want. So we still bid $2k less than he is asking but I think he'll bite. If he doesn't and he comes back with a counter of his list than we'll still be ok with it I guess. I will post pics later, I have a ton of stuff to do at work. Thanks for the good lucks!!!!
