Elefun - ??

moped wrote: I was checking it out from another pst - it says for 3+ and TRU sais 4-8 - is it too advanced for Jack????

They just look so cool

My3LilMonkeys replied: Brooke was afraid of it the first time or 2 (this was last year) but once she got used to it she liked it. She didn't necessarily understand it, but she had fun with it.

Jamison'smama replied: Jamison got it on her 2nd birthday and certainly wasn't able to catch butterflies but she loved it. She can play with it better now but Jack loves it (he's 2) but they also like to play with it in non-traditional ways (take off the trunk and put your net over it etc.) I think it is fine for your Jack, it is fun.

punkeemunkee'smom replied: We have it. Taylor got it for her 3rd birthday and never had trouble playing with it. It is fun but the butterflies empty out pretty fast so it is definately a game of pickup just as much as play! laugh.gif

moped replied: Ok.....

I am just thinking of the ball popper thing that Jack got when he was 1 - and it kind of scared the poor soul!

Elefun has free shipping right now with TRU canada

kit_kats_mom replied: Both of my girls love it. They stink at it but winning isn't the goal right? rolling_smile.gif

Boo&BugsMom replied: We have Elefun (courtesy of Grandma! dry.gif )! Tanner got it at 2 years old and he had no problem with it. If Jack has difficulty in the begining, it just takes some practice, just like anything else. As annoying as it is...he does like it a lot.

redplaydoh replied: We had it and I hated it. The butterflies flew out so fast it was more of a pick up game for Mommy. Then the fan didn't seem strong enough to keep the trunk upright. I gave it to Goodwill before we moved. I didn't want to waste space in the container moving that thing.

Crystalina replied:

We had it and had the same problem. The kids had more fun with the nets then the game itself. If all the butterflies come up to the top they do it very quickly and it takes more time to pick them all up and open the dumb elephant and put them back in. The kids aren't patient enough for that routine over and over. Then the fan doesn't always have enough "umph" behind it to open the trunk up and an adult has to stand there and lift it up so the butterflies make it out of the top.

Let's just say we didn't use ours for more then a couple of days (really). The nets though... the kids loved them. happy.gif

DansMom replied: I just bought it at Meijer really cheap! Now I'm not looking forward to picking up all those butterflies though...

mom21kid2dogs replied: Olivia got one for her 3rd birthday and has always loved it. We just catch butterflies with bowls or our hands as big, bad Bailey the dog (may he rest in peace rolleyes.gif ) ate the nets. It's not easy~Stephen & I both stink at it as well, but no one here gets particularly frustrated by that but if your child does, it's something to consider. The butterflies are small, though, so I wouldn't recommend it if the child is particularly oral. Here's a trunk hint~Have an adult unroll the trunk and kind of fold it back (while fully extended) against it self. It stays up just fine then.

lisar replied: Lexi had one when she was 2. Loved that thing. I hated it cause I was always picking the lil things up. But she had a blast with it. Until it finally broke. She was always playing with it. I dont think he is to young for it.

TheOaf66 replied: nah, we got it for Tanner 2 yrs ago so he understood the concept just did not really try at first but no not to advanced.

Brias3 replied: We got it over the summer and Mason and Aliyah love it. He can play it just fine- doesn't catch alot of butterflies but loves it just the same.
