Dumb Sims - Did I really pay for this?

It seems like "the game" is to pamper this girl and I do that to two people IRL.

lisar replied: Love the game. You have to make her happy before you can make her get a job. Stare at the fish tank and read a book. That will help her. You can delete her and start over though. There are also some cheat codes for them to where you have an unlimitted amount of money. You still have to go to work and all but that might help you figure out to get it going atleast.

stella6979 replied: I'm pretty sure it's like a virtual family that you have to care for. I've never played so I don't know how to make her butt get a job, but I've heard from lots of people that it's fun and addicting.

Crystalina replied: Well, I think I'm going to starve her because I'm really tired of her attitude. She keeps looking at me and shaking her fist. I'm starting to take it personal. We can't afford any fish but she will read a book. She will only read but she won't study. I tried making her study so she could get a job and she says she doesn't feel like it. She's giving me anxiety and a headache for real.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Make her happy, read a book, call a friend, get a fish tank. Once she's happy, you can get her a job, then you can get her better stuff. Mine has a 2 story house with 4 bedrooms, leather couches, designer light fixtures, burglar alarms, she's practically a gourmet cook. And she has a jacuzzi. Now that will make you popular.

I took her to the carnival last night and she acted like she had better things to do. She kept shaking her fist at me and she didn't need anything. I think she just has attitude.

I haven't played Sims in a while...I do know that you can put a trash can next to the mailbox and then pause the game and go the "move" mode and throw away the mailbox and you have no more bills! (If it was only that easy in real life!)

You should be able find cheat codes. You can drown her too you know. Make a swimming pool and once she's in it take out the ladder.

mom2my2cuties replied: Wouldn't the bills just pile up on the grass then??? I wish I could get rid of my bills by just tossing out the mailbox.

The cheat code for money does help It's like 50K a pop

Also, make sure that when you are setting up your person, you set thier "characteristics" to something that isn't lazy, and sad

I really have a problem with strangers just coming over and basically living at my house uninvited And they don't leave when you tell them too

Hey did you know that once she has kids you can actually have child services come and take them away. LOL... Just dont feed them. My 14 year old cousin told me about that one.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: My brother once made every female character in the game fall in love with him, then he walled them up in rooms inside the house. When they die, little grave markers pop up in the yard. He had a little cemetary out there.

PrairieMom replied: I got SOOOOO addicted to that game. I had one that Advanced all the way through every job they offered. I finally quit playing becuase it got to repetitive. I may have to go get that set you were talking about tho.

The ones that made me mad I would build walls around with no doors and kill them off. They made horrible moaning sounds on their way out tho.

I've built a man and a woman this time. The man is a bum and I made him neat, active and nice so go figure. He won't look for a job but he'll look for a talent agent. The woman I made found a job and goes to work every day. I wish I knew how to kick the guy out of the house. I made them both thinking they would be a couple but that must not be how it works because they hate each other. When he trys to kiss her she gets mad and vise versa. I see an affair in someones future.

then, in the same little box (after you enter the above code) you type !; several times... it racks up your money.

I have the games...hot date, university etc... and I basically just build houses.

PrairieMom replied: I once made a small house with 6 people in it I named after the characters on "Friends" I only gave them one bathroom. They were constantly peeing on them selves. I also only gave them a few cots to sleep on. I guess being cruel to fake computer people helped me get it out of my system so I could be kind to real people.

flirtycuddle replied: The only SIMS I didn't have of the orginial was vacation lol. I know u can get a clock to where if you look at it, it rises everything to perfect happy. Also a computer that puts all your skills up for jobs, pick any job, and everyperson in the neighbohood a friend lol. oh also a dog bowl to where u never have to feed the pet and the pet is always happy

JadensMama05 replied: LOL, that's so funny. I've only played Urbs, Sims in the City. But my PS2 wasn't right so I never got all that far. I loved it though. It was my entertainment while I was pregnant with Jaden and Garred was at work.

Nina J replied: I play it sometimes..DH plays it more than I do. I spent ages trying to make a good business when DH got open for business, but I sucked at it.

The very first time I played I made 2 sims, one was me and the other was DH..anyway, the sim that was me was cooking, started a fire and burnt to death because there was no smoke alarm. I was thinking "omg, I just killed my sim self"

Maybe when you made your sim you made her really serious??

holley79 replied: I was so addicted to that game. It was to the point DH was ready to uninstall the thing becuase he didn't have any computer time. I used the cheat code for money though just to get established becuase my Sim was so depressed. Once everything was going well we advanced well.

It's really nothing more than a virtual reality role-playing game. I use to play it all the time. I use to have a cheat code that gave you an unlimited amount of money to buy a house and things, but I don't remember what it was. What Rocky said about typing in "rosebud" sounded really familiar! I had a baby once and forgot to take care of it and CPS came and took away my baby. Oops. I'm glad I'm not like that in real life or I'd be in big trouble!

I did that too on the new version. I also made my babies not age one time and had like 5 infants in the house.

To use the cheat code you cntrl, shift C then type in motherlode, kaching or rosebud. I used cheatplanet.com for the codes.

Donna027 replied: LOL Yes I remember that game! Lucas was crazy for it a few years back but he doesnt play it much any more. I really didnt get the whole point of it either. Lucas just liked making huge houses and creating his own characters and making little stories about them. Ive never played it myself though
