Dress for my friends wedding.

MoonMama wrote: I know some of you wanted to see this so....here is the dress the bridesmaids and myself will were for my friends wedding Dress the color will be the red one Apple. I love it but I have to admit I hate my arms. dry.gif Anyone know any good exercises to tone up the upper arm (soon)? Anyway since the wedding colorers are white and red, we will also all wear white long gloves and white shoes as per my friends request. Also the wedding was pushed back a month so it will be April 19th instead of March 22nd. There was an issue with the church over booking or something and a few other things popped up. Anyway what do you all think?

Crystalina replied: I like it. I'm not one for bridesmaid dresses but as they go that is a nice one. thumb.gif
Don't worry about your arms because everyone will be so worried about their own arms they won't be looking at yours. happy.gif

CantWait replied: I love it, nice choice.

What part of your arms are you concerned about?

MoonMama replied:
Mostly the inside part of my upper arms, not sure how else to explain it. blush.gif

A&A'smommy replied: Gorgeous dress

for your exercises stand up against the sink backwards and lift yourself up and down, here is an example

scroll down to tricep dips they were AWESOME and quick also drink LOTS of water that helps too I lost like 3 or 4 inches in my arms from doing those over the course of like 6weeks (the drinking water also helped) and limit your salt intake

CantWait replied:
Either the dips (chairs and stairs also work well, depending on the stability of your sink), you can also do triceps with small weights (or soup cans).

Bending over, bring your arm straight to the back, then bend your arm from the elbow back and forth. 3 sets of 10-12.

Or, holding a heavier weight in both hands, bring your arms up past your head straight, then lower the weight bending at the elbow. Again, 3 sets of 10-12.

MoonMama replied: Jessica & Marie, thanks SOOO much! hug.gif I really am self conscious about my arms in this dress. blush.gif

luvmykids replied: It's gorgeous, very classy thumb.gif I bet that color is beautiful on you wub.gif

lovemy2 replied: I wore that exact same dress in a friends wedding about 2 months after I had Olivia - and yes my arms were not pretty - I covered them up somewhat with the sash - but I agree with the others on the arm exercises - it will help....good luck adn it will look beautiful on you wub.gif

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I really like the dress Allie! It's a very classic style.

Do you have one of those large exercise balls at home? If you do, hold it behind you so that it's sitting above your butt, like at the bottom of your back. Arms straight behind you, no bending at the elbow. Squeeze and lift at the same time so that the ball never hits your butt. NOT high, but just very small lifts at the same time you're squeezing the ball inward. This works the triceps without the use of weights. Let go of the ball and boy will you feel it!! If you have free weights, do "head bangers" where you lift the weights over your head (you can always just use one in both hands) and bring it down behind your head, like you're about to hammer in your head. Repeat up and down. Remember, slow small moves are better than quick fast ones when it comes to resistance training. Another one if you have NO equipment, take a hand towel and put one end of the towel in each hand. Hold arms out in front of you and PULL. Again, small moves pulling out, repeat. GL!

grandma replied: I love the dress and in red it will be awesome!
About your arms, just know now that upper arms, especially the inside (wings) takes a lot of very consistant work, but it can be done! Along with that and really watch what you eat and you'll be able to see results with your choice of these exercises the girls have given you. Do them every other day, not every day.
You'll look great! (Not a fan of white shoes tho).

Calimama replied: I love it!! You're gonna look gorgeous!! Take pictures!! tongue.gif

MoonMama replied:
Thanks Rae I'm going to give the ball one a try it sounds so neat. thumb.gif
