Does your child have a nickname?

Maddie&EthansMom wrote: When Maddie was born I stayed up all night in the hospital watching her and listening to her sounds. wub.gif I noticed she would often crinkle her little pink nose like a bunny so I started calling her bunny. I still call her that. She answers to it and always has just like it was her name. Her daddy has always called her Punkin Pie. wub.gif I was just wondering if you gave your child a nickname and how you came up with it.

Kirstenmumof3 replied: wub.gif Awww that is so sweet! Claudia is our little monkey, my DS calls her sweetsums and my DH calls her sweety.

MomToJade&Jordan replied: Jade is Bookie Buckis. That is what DH called her when we first brought her home and I guess it stuck.

MomofTay&Sam replied: My oldest son is called Beans(I have no clue where it came from years ago) even at 11 years old he will still answer when I say beans come here or beans did you do your hw?

Sammy is called Luvy and Mr. Noodle(sesame str) by me and daddy has a few names he calls him. smile.gif

My2Carebears replied: [B]I have called Angel Pookers Since she was born, I don't know why, just do. I call her Buddy too sometimes, when she is being my Buddy and helping.

Abri I have Always Called B(just the plain letter cool.gif and Bubba. When Abri was like 3 you'd try to call her like sweetie or something and She'd say My name is Abri. But if I called her B, She would be ok with it..hehehe

DansMom replied: DH calls Daniel "Groove", which started out as "super groover" but got shortened from there. Daniel is very motivated in his crawling technique---he puts his head down and just charges! Plus we think the kid is just groovy! That's why DH calls him that.

I don't really call him Groove, though. I tend to invent long nicknames ever since I saw Dances with Wolves. For example, my old cat Sam was "Tail in the Air". So I call Daniel "Blue Eyes of Love" these days.

kit_kats_mom replied: sure if you call "stinky pants" a nickname. rolling_smile.gif
No, our poor little girl probably has no idea what her name really is. She goes by "K", monkey, kit-kat, kitten, bunny, and peanut, most of the time.

CantWait replied: Anthony's latest nickname is firecracker cause he's always farting and his poops are so frequent and explosive LOL rolling_smile.gif

paradisemommy replied: taven either goes by punkin or peanut... rolling_smile.gif

Mommieto2Girls replied: Madison only has one nickname and that's Maddie... ;D

coasterqueen replied: We call Kylie: booga or boogabear and sometimes DH calls her "small stuff". Don't know why we use those nicknames or where they came from. I think we use to make those googly sounds and would say "booga booga boo" and that's where booga came from. rolling_smile.gif

Jamison'smama replied: We use versions of her name--Jama, Jamo and Jammers (long A sound like in Jamison)

DH calls her angel and buttercup

I call her sweet potato and sugar peas

It is amazing how silly we all are with the kids and nicknames.

MommyToAshley replied: Ashley has tons, whatever comes to my mind at the moment. It's amazing she knows her name.

The one nickname that has stuck with her since birth is munchsky. (Like munchkin by "ski" at the end instead of "kin")
