Does your DH have a holy shirt? - I just want to through it in the garbage

mummyof2boyz wrote: Omg! I hate this shirt! It looks terrable! It has like 15 hole in it and he still wears it to work! I had a "talk" with him about it and he looked me strait in the face and said"what is wrong with it? It has a perfect place for me to rest my hand." Omg! I know he works at Wal-mart in the lawn and garden. And I know that he gets dirty but, you would think that he would like to make a good impression on the costumers. I did wash it up and I hide it. Well this morning while I was doing dishes he come up behind me and says "what? You didn't think I would find out" I had no idea what he was talking about at first, Then he says "my shirt, where is it" I just told him I did not throw it away. So he grab me by my bra and started to pull it. I started to laugh and said "don't you dare" He said "Tell me where it is or I will turn you into a "A" cup." He just kept pulling it out more and more. So I had to give in and tell him. Still kinda funny. I will get up the nerve to throw it away one of these days. I just wanted to sheck to see if I was the only one with this problem. hehe

5littleladies replied: Lol-yeah I can relate. My problem isn't a shirt that dh just won't get rid of though. My dh works in a glass plant and his shirts get ripped all the time. I have no desire to throw them away since any new ones will just get ripped anyway but he wears them all the time-even to church .dry.gif It's embarassing!!

supermom replied: I don't have that problem, but my DH favorite "trick" is to take a BRAND NEW pair of pants or a shirt and then go out and work in the yard, or paint or something else in them so they are basically useless for his job or going out. Makes me SO MAD!! teehee It's not like he doesn't have a closet full of other clothes he can wear to do the dirty work in!

mckayleesmom replied:
Heres what to do.....take one of the holes and rip it to where its not wearable,,,,then tell him it got caught in the spin thing in the bottom of the washing machine and you had to pull on it to get it out cause it was jamming the washing machine. Worked for me once with an ex, he had a shirt that I would actually get out to the trash sometimes and he would find it,,,,,lol....if he doesn';t see what is wrong with it now,,,,,just help open up his eyes.. rolling_smile.gif

Lol!!! rolling_smile.gif What a great idea. (you naughty thing you!!) happy.gif

CantWait replied: oh ya I have this problem, except it's not just shirts, it's shorts and underwear also. He'll be sitting there and I'll look down and low and behold I can see everrrrrrrrrything if you know what I mean. This is something I deal with though, it's only a home thing, most of the time he dresses normal to go out.

Kirstenmumof3 replied: rolling_smile.gif OMG I thought we were the only ones! I just went through his drawers and threw it out! rolling_smile.gif

MomofTay&Sam replied: huh.gif Not only is it full of HOLES I mean BIG holes but it's a Pink Floyd concert shirt from like 1987. LOL I hide it too and it always finds it's way back to his body! I have thrown away stuff in secret and he never even noticed. LOL

Schnoogly replied:
Yeah we had this problem with a they might be giants concert t shirt from 1990 or something. I told him "don't you want to keep the shirt as a keepsake? If you keep wearing it you won't be able to keep it, it will fall apart!" DH keeps everything!! This worked--he put the shirt away for "safekeeping"!

Hee hee hope he doesn't read this one smile.gif or my number is up!

Jacqueline_n_Alyssas_Mom replied: I can relate, I ended up with a whole Load of white clothes that Looked like a flock of moths ate through everything, Thanks to my husband using Oxiclean w/ Clorox bleach....

He also has shirts that have worn holes in them, I do what somebody else mentions, rip them so that they are unwearable and trash them, same as socks, I seriously don't think he even misses them laugh.gif

jdkjd replied: Dh is a big undershirt person and cannot let go even when the deodorant has permanently icked up the underarm (it's yellow and hard) and there are holes.

So our deal is, if I buy him new shirts, he will throw away one shirt for every two I buy. Thank goodness most of his regular shirts he doesn't have an emotional link with... rolleyes.gif

paradisemommy replied: my problem is with underwear rolling_smile.gif but it's only for me to see so thank goodness!! tongue.gif

mustangmomma1981 replied: Yep! Hubby has all kinds of holes in his shirts. He is a welder but he don't always wear his aparon so he gets little sparks that fly back on him rolleyes.gif Its annoying but what can I do? He does have a few nice shirts though I don't allow him to wear to work.

victoire2002 replied: I thought we were the only ones!! DH has actually FISHED tshirts out of the trash that I have tried to throw out. I usually wait til he's at work, then I put out the trash (outside) for pickup. That way, he cannot find it and resalvage it. cool.gif
