Does my house have some kind of "Save Us" - sign out front or something?

kit_kats_mom wrote: I just had the 3rd set of Jahovah's Witnesses' come to my door. That's all within 2 weeks! Hello, I understand that you want to share your beliefs etc and that's great. Some of the nicest people I've ever known were Jahovah's Witnesses' but really guys, when a mega preggamoto opens the door and is having trouble talking through her contractions, please don't ask her to read bible passages. I mean really, just give me another copy of the Watchtower and go on your merry way.

Sorry, I usually don't mind when they come by once or twice a year but this is getting to be a bit much. huh.gif

Ok, done venting. blush.gif

I live in Watchtower Central...we get them a couple of times a month..no kidding...and NEVER the same people either! It doesn't usually bother me until they come early on a saturday morning that the kids aren't home..in other words..when we're sleeping in.

kit_kats_mom replied:
OMG, I'd go bonkers. I'm about ready to put a box out front that says "please leave a copy of the watchtower here and have a nice day". LOL

Josie83 replied: Lol . . . how annoying! We don't get that many around here luckily! We just explain that we're Catholic anyway . . . xx

coasterqueen replied: OMG! I'm ROFLMAO because my MIL is a J.W. rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif Now that she's moved back home I'm going to be having them at my door all the time. rolleyes.gif

Mommy2BAK replied: wow, thats crazy!!! I've never had one come to my house. (knocking on wood)

I think I've seen them riding their bikes around town.

Boys r us replied: Cary...you could set out some refreshments on the table with the watchtower box! You know..some CHRISTMAS COOKIES rolling_smile.gif

5littleladies replied: Lol!! I get J.W's at my house at least once a month, and it's always the same lady. I don't know why she keeps coming-I don't encourage her-I guess maybe because I am polite?? blink.gif

coasterqueen replied: Nobody here lives in El Cajon California, I hope. tongue.gif Because that's where my MIL WAS living.....you might have seen her if you do live there. tongue.gif

A&A'smommy replied: OMG LOLOL Cary your halarious!!!! rolling_smile.gif I haven't seen any J.W in SO long!!

kimberley replied: they do have a special knack of showing up at the absolute worst time, don't they? the girl that used to come to my old place was really nice and i would chat with her if i had the time. it was more about world issues than about religion. she knew i was catholic and didn't try to convert me. but her mom fell ill and she moved back home.

the couple that comes to this house are completely oblivious to the busy life of a mother. rolleyes.gif they ramble on and on about the latest issue of watchtower all the while i am holding my octopus jade in my arms as she is wrenching on my shirt trying to get nummies or escape out the front door... the boys are running around like savages and the pot is boiling over on the stove. i hear ya about leaving a box outside saying leave mag here lol! rolling_smile.gif

MY grandma used to have a sign on her door that said "to J.W., please do not knock we are Cotholic"

jcc64 replied: Whenever they come, I ask them if I can share my beliefs with them, and proceed to make something up on the spot, depending on my mood, but it is invariably wacky and bizarre, and usually that ends the conversation. They're very sweet, I respect their piety and devotion to their faith, but they're definitely barking up the wrong tree here.....

favre4fan replied: I see them riding around on their bikes a lot. Seems like its the same two guys too. one day they were in our cul de sac and Dh told them to go to our neighbors house . Our neighbor is constantly playing jokes on us.

maestra replied: My mom gets them a lot and is also Catholic. She also has 5 very loud (but small) dogs, and they always ring the bell. So she goes to the window near the door and says "Sorry, I don't want to open the door, my dogs bite." They always leave right away.

Here in Az, we have J.W. that come to testify, and Mormons. It can get irritating when they come in the same weekend. rolleyes.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: rolling_smile.gif Love the idea about the box! laugh.gif

I don't answer my door....ever! I'm too scared to answer it. unsure.gif There has been so much happening in the metroplex lately that has really gotten me spooked. It is all in the nice areas, too.

Josie83 replied:
How do you mean? unsure.gif xx
