Does anyone elses baby boys - Franks and Beans talk

mckayleesmom wrote: beans get really irritated when they poop. Russells always get really red after he poops...my poor baby.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I didn't understand at first...but I came back to your post and realized what you meant!! LOLLLLLLL! rolling_smile.gif I haven't noticed that, but I'll look next time! Maybe he's straining down there...maybe that's a ? for the daddy's.

mckayleesmom replied: I was talking about his little balls...LOL....Anyways..its just when he poops..they get irritated from the acidity or something.

stanleygirl replied: Oh yeah this happens to my boys, and some collects right in between the 'beans and frank', so I try to clean it so well, but not *disturb* them too much lol.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Hey not to change subject, but while I have you ladies with boys on here, do your sons also get like these clear jelly bead like things in their diaper? It's usually around their frank. The ped says it's just something with the ph of their urine. I guess the urine turns into jelly beads when it hits the air...really strange though! Maybe girls get it too...

As far as the poop...I often just give Wil a tushy bath when it gets in between the beans. Now that he's older, things are a lot more solid when they come out, so I don't have to worry about it as much.

mom2tripp replied: HAHAHA---Tripp's franks and beans get red sometimes too Destin always clears it up:)

As for the gel things I think some they come out of some diapers but maybe not, I've noticed it more than a few times on Tripp:)

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied:
If I'm reading that right, are you saying it may be something from the type of diaper we use? I use Huggies...what do you think?

Jamison'smama replied: Oh my goodness, this whole time I was reading the topic as---Does anyone elses baby boys frank and beans talk? And I was thinking--do they talk? Well no.....

As for the redness--we get that occasionally however his tushie hole (nice huh?) is ALWAYS red--I think it is probably some sort of allergy but haven't discovered what yet. We also get occasional gel things--just always assumed it was part of the diaper.

huggybugboy replied: I used huggies for a while and if Miles got really wet there were always those clear little beads on him. Check on the packaging-I read something on a Pampers or huggies package about it.

Same here (tushie hole and gel things) thumb.gif

kimberley replied: the boys used to get like that if they had loose movements. Jade gets red all the time unless you change her the second she does it. poor girl.

as for the beads.. a super wet/soiled diaper will make the beads come out of the diaper. longer it is on, the more you see. the old baby dry pampers used to do that all the time but i find the cruisers don't do that and Jade has had some big movements. wacko.gif

redchief replied: Believe it or not, I had a mother call the ambulance once on account of the little gel balls. They were on vacation and had just changed diaper brands; their pediatrician was hundreds of miles away, so they called 9-1-1.

Now for the serious part:

The gel beads are from the diaper. The new super absorbent diapers are made with a dehydrated gel that collects the urine. When that happens, the beads reconstitute into those little gel things you see.

Red testicles on boys are normal after defecation. The skin of the scrotum is very sensitive and subject to the acids and liquids left over from the digestive process. The best way to protect them is with a water-proof anti-rash cream if they get chapped (this happened to both our boys).

I'm not sure why the other boy's anus got red, but that can be treated with the same type of anti-rash cream too.

mckayleesmom replied: As for the gel thing...The first time I ever saw them was when Mckaylee decided to change her own diaper one day and took the other off and shook it around...I had to vaccume up those gel things all over my house. blink.gif

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied:
I believe you here, because I have seen how the diaper is made of those gel things...but why would my ped say it's something to do with the Ph of his urine?? And why wouldn't it happen all the time if it were the diaper?? Yes, sometimes the diaper is more saturated than others, but I've seen them even when he's barely wet at all.
