Does anyone else have that wierd - neighbor

mckayleesmom wrote: rolling_smile.gif that decorates their lawn every couple days??? Sorry if this offends anyone.....but it drives me batty...I don't know why. There is this lady accross the street from me that has this tralace thing in her yard...I think thats what they are called....and every couple days she redecorates it...either by theme...xmas, easter (right now she has eggs hanging from it) or something else....I don't know why it drives me nuts....Maybe because it makes my kids toy lawn look like butt, or because no matter what you do to these lawns in this neighborhood it still looks like the ghetto.... rolling_smile.gif Also...her husband is lower ranking then mine...they have more kids and still they afford to buy stuff to decorate the lawn everyday.... rolling_smile.gif ....I know the stuff is new because every couple days she pulls up in her suv...gets out and brings the bags from the suv to the trelace thing and starts to decorate it..... laugh.gif ...Other then that driving me crazy for reasons not known even to me....she is a nice lady.

Does anyone have a neighbor that does something that erks you and you don't even know why?? rolling_smile.gif

mckayleesmom replied: Oh wait...in the time it took me to post this....she took the eggs down and put up a yellow ribbon on it... rolling_smile.gif

luvmykids replied: We have a neighbor who hangs a different flag every week, holiday or just seasonal, like spring flowers or rainbows, etc. Doesn't bother me though.

kimberley replied: wavey.gif a few houses up we have one of those. they are both nuts! she is the neighborhood gossip and he is just plain ol strange. he invited himself to our family bbq last year and just kinda comes over to say hi for 15minutes wacko.gif and they are avid lawn decorators too rolleyes.gif

Brias3 replied: Oh, I have a neighbor who irks me alright...but I know EXACTLY why mad.gif laugh.gif

AlexsPajamaMama replied: There is an old man that lives downstairs from us, and he decorates his front door for every holiday. Like April 1st he had Easter up and it will be down first thing the day after Easter. Doesnt bother except that right now he has an UGLY Easter Bunny Basket filled with plastic eggs right outside his door, and every time DS and I enter the building we walk by his door and DS thinks he has to touch all the darn decorations!! I dont let him even step near that man's door cuz he is a GRUMPY old man!!

He accused me of smoking in the building once and thought he was going to call DHS on me for letting my kid play with noisy toys outside!!! LOL Whatever!! rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: our neighbors to our left are a bit strange, but they are nice. They have created flower beds in some unusual places, one just does nto look right to me at all.

So how are the childern of the corn? I miss thoes stories laugh.gif

MyLuvBugs replied: I grew up with neighbors like that. My best friends home right next door. And God bless her for having to live there, and she is the first to admit this, but it was total white trash. rolling_smile.gif Pink flamingos, fake flowers in the flower bed that were driedout and faded, dog poop ALLLLLLL over, knomes, ceramic deer, a broken swing set.....and every holiday was a new flag for that particular month....Easter, St. patty's day, Valentines....You name it....just cracked me up. But that's what my best friends aunt wanted, and they were really nice people, just had different taste. smile.gif

mckayleesmom replied:
The dad is moving out right now and the kids must have went and lived with the mom because I haven't seen them out for months....but the dad is never around either. Zach lives next door to him and they said his alarm clock went off for a month once... rolleyes.gif

AlexsPajamaMama replied:
Yikes! That is creapy! blink.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:
wink.gif sounds like my eldest sisters house....I dont mind some but she buy cheep junk and clutters it up, honestly for the area she lives it its terrible

Kaitlin'smom replied:
darn here I was hoping for a funny story

ilovemybaby replied: All my neighbours annoy me. But they aren't weird... they are totally normal for this neighbourhood. If you don't do drugs or sell them, drink alcohol all the time, have your music up LOUD, let your dogs roam the streets or get into gang fights then you are not normal. So we are not normal. dry.gif

boyohboyohboy replied: wub.gif I am going outside right now and take down my window clings from the front door! I dont want to be the neighborhood freak! wavey.gif

Crystalina replied: My neighbors are not close to me at all (we live on 20 acres) but the neighbor that I do have is IDENTICAL to Kathy Bates in Misery. When we first moved here she came over with a basket with loaves of bread straight out of the oven. She was really nice but now when I see her she creeps me out. I drive by and wave and she just stairs (in her bib overalls and straw hat, really) but when she's with her husband and I wave she ALWAYS waves. I wonder if he knows she's evil? I'm scared to death she'll come over for a 'visit' one night.

If I come up missing now you know why. She may have me tied to a bed in her spare room just waiting to snap my ankles with a bat. ohmy.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied: I have a neighbor who decorates like your neighbor does Brianne - her favorite is the inflatables. She has them for almost every holiday.

She's also my sister in law so I love her even if she has a tacky lawn. emlaugh.gif

holley79 replied: rolling_smile.gif Oh I would get up every morning and just look out my window to see what is going on.

Plus I would be laughing my butt off but it would drive me batty also. Nothing like trying to fix up base housing... laugh.gif

~Roo'sMama~ replied: There is a yard in our neighborhood that just has this big huge conglomeration of decorations for every holiday. It looks terrible. blink.gif

AlexsPajamaMama replied:
I love window clings! I have them on my windows
They are okay as long as they arent out of season!!

MamaJAM replied: It's hard to choose who's the nuttiest in our neighborhood --

Is it the guy across the street who covers his lawn with wooden 'decorations' (snowmen, bunnies, pumpkins, etc).
Is it the lady across the street (next door to the guy) who not only decorates the ourside of her house - but dresses up a manequin and places it in her front window (starring directly at MY front door....VERY freaky).
Is it the people down the road who have lights for every holiday...and use A LOT of them.

You be the judge. tongue.gif

kit_kats_mom replied: well the two people directly accross the street from me seem to be having a "who can be the more wacko" contest.

The old man who checks his mail with no shirt on (can you say HAIRY BACK?) was out blowing the grass off of his sidewalk the morning of an impending hurricane. blink.gif Uhhhh sasquatch, the storm will blow it all back. How bout you wait until tomorrow to do that? rolling_smile.gif He also pressure washes his driveway and sidewalk once a week.

Then there is the family next to him. They have a daughter who is 6 months younger than Katherine so I made nice when we first moved in. The daughters name is Sophia. Imagine my suprise when she called their dog Sophia too. Turns out they didn't really want kids and got a dog instead. Picked mom's favorite name "sophia" and you guessed it, got pregnant soon after. Of course they still loved the name sophia so they named her Sophia also. I think I would have changed the dogs name KWIM? I've never quite gotten over that and so we rarely hang out with them. It's kinda sad since the girls get along so well. Maybe when they get older they can play together without the moms hanging out too. She just wierds me out. wacko.gif laugh.gif

BAC'sMom replied: Well my Mom lives next door to me so I guess I can’t say much about her.

But I do have a wacko on the other side of me. And yes he drives me nuts. When he first moved in 2 years ago he would get up every morning @ 6:00am and TRY to start his wife’s car. So for about 10 minutes he would crank on this car…. it got so bad I asked the DH to diagnosed the car problem because I was going to go purchase to part myself and hand it to him. He also has a rottweiler dog that he is verbally abusive to. Says things like “Brutus get you’re a** over here.”….”You SOB” I am waiting for the dog to get fed up and bite him.
And this dude bar b-q’s every single stinking night without fail. And when he goes out there to check on the pit, he slams the pit lid 4 times each and every time. So yes I crazy man next door.
