punkeemunkee'smom wrote: I was just reading a post and I noticed (I have realized it before) that when I read something I 'hear' what I am reading ...I promise I don't normally hear voices ....BUT when I read (and now as I am trying this ) I hear in my head what is being 'said' and the funniest part is I have a different voice for everybody Kinda strange huh? Am I theonly one or do you girls do it too?
BAC'sMom replied: I think the Texas heat is getting to you Abbie
I am playing I sometimes do that too.
luvmykids replied: Only if it's someone I've talked to on the phone, then I put their voice with their posts
BAC'sMom replied: Are you making fun of our accents again?
msoulz replied: Do you see dead people too??
mom2my2cuties replied: I think it is the heat getting to you too
I actually do this if it is someone I have actually met or talked to at length. But not just random people.
So what do I sound like??? A former Canadian, A former Pacific Northwesterner, Former Texan? Former Arkansan? Former North Caroliner (is that a word)? Former Virginian? Or a Tennessean??? (And yup, I have lived in all those places in the last 5 years)
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I do this, too!!!!
Well, of course I hear your voice b/c we've met.
MommyToAshley replied: I don't really "hear" as I am reading, but I do associate the person's avatar or siggy with the person speaking. So, I don't really picture a person either ... I think more of their picture in the siggy. I guess I am more of a visual type person... I hate it when people change their siggy. LOL.
TANNER'S MOM replied: I do this for people I have talked too..and for a few people I haven't.
With Jen (Jenhopkins) I put EH's after her comments sometimes..lol
I also only refer to people that I dont know personally as there screen names. If it's someone I have a lot of contact with then I use first names..
And pictures and Avatars are a way I use to realize who people are!
punkeemunkee'smom replied: Yep,it's the heat! Who can stay sane in this???
Canadian with a southern twist now...
TANNER'S MOM replied: I hear words when I read too.
For me it's alike a movie in my mind!
moped replied: And when I email you I sometimes intentionally put EH just for the giggles!
mom2my2cuties replied:
Actually it would probably be southern with a canadian twist
I was southern before I moved to Canada to get away from my ex (whole other story) and then moved back south after I picked up the accent
C&K*s Mommie replied: I think I KWYM.. I say in my head as it is being typed or read.
Kinda a way of thinking in my head, as I am reading or typing.
C&K*s Mommie replied: ooohhh... I guess you definately hate my account on these boards, I frequently change my siggy and avatar. LOL
mom2my2cuties replied: Ok add me to the insane list I realized today after the thousandth time reading a pooh book that I was doing that, all the characters had thier voices
