Do your children use your body as lovey's?

TrulyBlessed replied: Hmmm.... neither of my children have done this. Megan's security was her silk and binky. Alyssa really didn't have a security object, she still sleeps with me though.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Yes, Ethan uses me as a lovey. I've never really thought about it, though. And he normally doesn't in front of other people and he doesn't do it ALL the time. Just when he is really tired.

luvmykids replied: I am Macie's lovey, but not to that degree...she doesn't ever grab any certain spot or lift my shirt, she just always wants mama

The baby I watch is like that though...she has to hold her moms boob to fall asleep. With me, she settles for my neck

boyohboyohboy replied: yes i am jakes lovey. he used to learn to sooth himself when he wasnt able to eat by rubbing the underside of my arm. and he still does that when he feels upset or nervous.
he even asks for "arm"
i dont mind at all.

I really think I would start to teach him another way to get settled, esp. in public.

amynicole21 replied: Yep, Nora loves my belly, too. My friend's little boy used to use his Mama's belly as well. Really, Nora just needs bare skin to rub when she is upset or tired. An arm will usually suffice, but she prefers my belly.

Kaitlin'smom replied: when she is tired or upset or hurt she wants mama but not a specific part. I love how much she wants to cuddle and love on me, I take it as much as she will give it cause I am sure one day it will slow down and or stop.

I'm furniture for Annika as well. Now before we weaned it was a boob she wanted when she was tired. Now she just wants to be held. She will normally play with my hair.
