Do your baby pictures - look like your kids?

Danalana replied: This is something I have thought about. People are always comparing their babies with their baby photos. I don't have any baby pictures of me...my father took them when my parents divorced, and he never gave them back. Now he says he doesn't know what happened to them. I think it's sad that i'll never be able to do that.
But I bet it's really awesome to see so much of your baby in you.

Aww Dana, thats really sad, I am so sorry to hear that, I would be so upset if a part of my history went missing... I'm sure youre kids will be beautiful just like their mother!

luvmykids replied: Mine and Kylie's are identical....I'm like you, you can't tell if its her or me. Interestingly, Colt and Macie's newborn pics are the same way. Until about 6 weeks they're the same but don't look alike now. And everybody says Colt and DH's are the same but I don't see it as much there.

mom21kid2dogs replied: Olivia has always been a perfect blend of the two of us. She really doesn't look like either of us as children. She favors my sister some. Her facial expressions and most mannerisms are very much me, prompting lots of people to claim she looks like me, but she really doesn't.

Thank you. Sometimes I've worried that my babies will look like me, but other times I have been fascinated by the idea of looking at them and seeing me...or my husband. Hehe, I'm sure it'll be one of us.

My husband's birth parents died when he was 4 (his mom) and 10 (his dad). Although there are very few pictures from his childhood, he does have a couple. It is really sad not to have those!
It sounds as though you still have a relationship with your dad. Could you ask some of his relatives if they have some? You might be suprised. About 12 years ago, my aunt and uncle suffered through a devastating house fire. They lost EVERYTHING except what they had on. Later that year, their children hosted a 50th anniversary party for them with just one request. They asked family and friends to bring any and all pictures they had of the family. It was shocking what they ended up with. They got baby pictures back of all their 8 kids, wedding photos, pictures of their childhood,etc. My aunt died in February and my uncle mentioned then how much it ment to her to get those precious pieces of paper back. Might be worth a try!

Danalana replied: My granmother had a few, but she died in 1988...my father took those. I see my father once in a while, but we don't really have a relationship. I asked his sister, and she found a few from when I was 6 or 7....but no baby pics. That's the only person there is to ask.

Cece00 replied: Yeah, 2 of my kids look VERY MUCH like I did as a baby. The other 2 have some of my features but dont look a ton like me. Natalie looks soooooo much like DH when he was a baby & Ross looks like my ex, although he used to look way more like my dad when he was a baby.

Matt has looked exactly like dh to the point it was the first thing I said when he was born.
Johnny....didn't look like anyone when he was a newborn but the older he gets teh more he looks like me

lovemy2 replied: Olivia was an image of her Daddy when she was born but now is an image of me - when Dylan was born - well we aren't sure who he looked like......the mailman maybe wierd how two kids can look so different although he is more and more looking like his sister at least....

My3LilMonkeys replied: Madison's baby pictures and DH's could be the same baby - to the point where there was a pic of Madison wearing a gender neutral outfit and MIL swore up and down that it was DH!

DillsMommy replied: Dylan and I looked similar, but he really looks like my youngest brother when he was a baby. Dills face was alot rounder than mine was.

HuskerMom replied: I found some pictures of me when I was about 6 weeks old and compared them to ones of Keith at the same age and we're identical. The only way you could tell it was two different babies is that the quality of my pictures were older. It was so cool! But now I think he looks more like Dan. Which I'm glad he looks so much like him but I'm so tired of hearing people say "wow he looks so much like Dan". No one ever says he looks like me except my mom and my MIL.

MommytoTommy replied: tommy looks just like i did when i was a baby! he just turned one, and he still looks like me. i just hope and pray that he starts to look like his father soon.
but hes adorable. if i can find pics of us at the same age, ill postem.

boyohboyohboy replied: the pics of caleb and I are identical until he was about 9 months old. then he started to look like himself...
the funny thing is now people say that my DH and caleb look so much alike..my DH adopted caleb..
jake looks like my husbands brother to a tee..
its amazing how traits are passed down.

Crystalina replied: Izabella is identical to me at her age. I love looking at her some times and noticing that. It's so eary.

Evan is identical to DH. MIL showed me pictures and besides the really tacky clothes dh was wearing you would think it was Evan.

lisar replied: Lexi is identical to mine. Its so cool. Raygen and Lexi are so much alike though. My sister gave me a picture of me holding a baby and I said oh look at how small Lexi was and then she told me it was Raygen. I had to look again it was Raygen's bedroom in the picture. I didnt even realize cause it looked so much like Lexi.

A&A'smommy replied: Alyssa is my clone there is a picture of me when I was 3 years old at my mothers house (its HUGE, and on canvas) and when anyone who has never seen the picture or who doesn't know that its me walks in they ALWAYS ask if its alyssa.. my hair was not curly BUT my mom always curled my hair for pictures its funny my friends call her "little jessica"
