kit_kats_mom replied: I WAH. I come from the finance/collections background but when I had Katherine, I couldn't bear to leave her so I found a WAH job maintaining a database for a large corp. I kept her home and worked until she was 1 then she started daycare. She's now going full time. Lauren is home with me and will continue to be home with me until she's one also. I find it's much easier when they are breastfed to WAH plus, I have varied hours. I have very little customer contact so I can work in the middle of the night if need be.

mommy2owen replied: SAHM here!

coasterqueen replied: WOHM, not by choice dry.gif . I'm a Business Manager for a non-profit p/c insurance association.

A&A'smommy replied: I'm a SAH mommy although sometimes I wish I could had some kind of in the house job!

Oh yeah, and I have a home daycare.

Then next year I'll be adding teacher to those titles because I'm going to start homeschooling my older 3.

Alice replied: I'm a SAHM doing lots of tutoring on the side-- does that make me a WAHM? The amount changes from one week to the next; on a typical week this time of year I probably tutor 5-6 hours a week, but by June it will be closer to 15.

When Kira is in Kindergarten I'll go back to teaching. In the meantime, I LOVE being home with the kids thumb.gif

MommyToAshley replied:

DansMom replied: I WOH as the manager of a large staff of copy editors for a mathematical reviews publication and database. Try not to fall asleep, I won't describe it further. I would love to work part time, and stay home more, but can't afford to. My job makes it possible for DH to be a stay at home dad, though, which has worked out very well. And he works part time evenings as a musician.

aspenblue1 replied: WOHM and finishing my degree.

texasp3 replied: I've been a SAHM since November of 2003 when my company offered a lucrative buyout to management and I was pregnant with Gabriel. Seemed like a sign to me! biggrin.gif

When I do WOH, I'm an HR person - specialized in EEO/Employee Relations... I was doing that stuff on a national scale at a Fortune 10 company when I quit to stay home with my sons. Wooo... talk about a change. My older boy loves it... says I'm much happier and that he doesn't miss anything about my job even though it cut our family income by 60% when I left it.

I have graduate degrees in HR and in Counseling... so when I do go back to WOH (which I will sooner or later)... I'm not quite sure what I'll do. wacko.gif
