Do you use the same Easter basket?

mckayleesmom replied: Well. we didn't do an easter basket her first year....we put everything in a toy wheel barrell thing.....The second year we got her an easter bunny basket....with the stuffed bunny attatched.....This year we will just do normal baskets.....I plan to just buy baskets that go with their room decor or that can be placed around the house....

Cece00 replied: Usually different ones every yr b/c I dont have anywhere to put them so I get rid of them. DH has had the SAME ONE since he was a kid. His mom still fills it with stuff...well, she did until last yr & she gave it to me. Guess I'll have to get him some frikkin candy

well that's what I was trying to do with the girls. They would just set out their easter basket the night before. I was just trying to find matching ones and the place I got Kylie's a couple of years ago - I thought they would be selling them this year (they have every year in the past) but they aren't so I can't get matching ones. So I guess I'm going to ditch her old one and get them matching ones and just use that same one every year.

Kaitlin'smom replied: yep I splurged her first easter and got her a really nice one with a lining with her name embroarded on it, its from Pottery Barn. She will get this every year. Got to get as much use out of it as I can. I do have some cheeper ones that we take when we go to relatives houses to egg hunt.

My3LilMonkeys replied: We do - they are plastic canvas baskets handmade by my SIL. She'd kill me if I used anything else.

3xsthefun replied: We used the same baskets for 2 years in a row. I don't know where they are now, so might have end up getting new baskets.

Brias3 replied: Different ones only because I've lost track of the others. The kids will take them after the Easter holiday and throw them somewhere in the playroom or use them for a game and I don't remember what happened to our old ones.

zdk753 replied: I buy new ones every yr. only b/c I have no where to put them so they end up playing w/ them throughout the yr. By the time Easter rolls around again they are either tore up or lost.

Crystalina replied: I buy new ones every year because my mom always did. I always get the big ones and I fill it with a spring outfit and whatever little easter toys and little candies I can find. Then I always use alot of colored selafane (<--- I know I really butchered that word), and ALOT of ribbon and then, hopefully if it's not raining, we go outside and hide it. The kids love to go out and see where the Easter bunny hid it and since we live in a darn forest there are some cool little place to put it. We always leave a little of the selaphane sticking out so it isn't THAT hard to find.

3_call_me_mama replied: We used to get a new one every year adn DH and I did baskets for each other pre kids... but we now have 13 easter baskets kickin garound in teh loft SOOOO A couple years ago (Kathleen's first easter) we got 2 nice heavy wicker ones that are green adn pink. they match but not really (they are teh same shape and material but different colors) we just use those every year now. And fo rthe new baby next year we will use another one that sort of matches those 2 tha twe already have. Although we did one year for cameron a wheelbarrow full of outside stuff and usuallly do a bigger toy or something so there's not much in teh basket!

booey2 replied: As kids we always had the same basket. The boys use the same baskets every year. The easter bunny tends to bring chocolate bunnies (Sponge Bob this year) that are too big to fit in their baskets so they will likely be filled with other treats, bubbles and sidewalk chalk. Matthew got a new bike a couple weeks ago so that is his big easter gift. Not sure what Thomas will get he doens't really get easter yet. After the first view of the baskets they usually dump all their stuff into the huge freezer bags and use the baskets for the outside east egg hunt and for gathering all the chocolate foil eggs that the bunny throws around our living room.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Yeah we have there little plush baskets that my mom bought the kids - we've been using those.... but the kids much prefer to unwrap stuff. So we just put a few little things in the basket... this year, I only bought these 2 kits at walmart for 5$ (bought them last year, after easter... lol) and some spring clothes (also bought last year). They really really like smarties - so maybe i'll get the,m one of those tubes with smarties in it...

We don't really do the hunt here. That's more when we go visiting.

Dito - We did this for Colin, but PBK isn't selling the same size basket this year so I might have to get the new baby a different one next year. We will see, but we do plan to have them reuse the same ones each year.

We also have a few that cost much less that we will use for egg hunts and such.

My2Beauties replied: I get a new one each yr because I lose track of the old ones, she has one my mom got her her first year but it's really small, I mean it wouldn't hardly fit anything in it, as that year she didn't get much for Easter. This year I want to get her a toy and some other little goody things, probably no candy since she'll get that from everyone else, and I need to find a nice sized one. I found the cutest basket at Target that was like $13.00 I want to get for her. It is adorable, when I go buy it I will have to take a pic and let you guys see how cute it is.
