Do you think

Boys r us wrote: that it would embarrass a man to receive a plant at work?

I've been REALLY mean to Rick since monday..like REALLY mean! So I wanted to apologize(something I'm not great at) and I went to the florist on my lunch break and picked out a really nice cactus garden, it's in a glass case, with an open top and I got him a balloon that says I love you...I thought the plant would be nice for his office at work. And of course a card that was really sweet.

Now that it's too late to worry about it b/c I've already paid for it and requested that it be delivered, I'm having second thoughts, I don't want to embarrass him at work...

kimberley replied: awww that is a very sweet gesture! it depends on his personality. i know my DH would be flattered but play the macho man in front of the guys. they would probably tease him but he works with ingrates anyway rolleyes.gif . i am sure it will go over well. don't worry wink.gif

MomToMany replied: rolling_smile.gif LOL, I think my DH would get REAL embarrassed if he got a plant at work. He's told me several times not to do stuff like that (although it embarrassed ME when HE did it to me...).

But hopefully your DH won't mind.....

Kaitlin'smom replied: where does he work?

I sent DH flowers once, he liked getting them, but I dont think I would do it now, but then again he might like it...I dunno

coasterqueen replied: Very sweet gesture!

Now if I sent something like that to Ryan at work everyone and I mean everyone would give him heck for so long he'd be mad at me. rolling_smile.gif He would definitely be embarrassed!

amynicole21 replied: I think he'll be grateful! I don't know him, of course, but it certainly doesn't sound like something he would be ashamed of. smile.gif

MommyToAshley replied: I think that is sweet. wub.gif I bet he'd like it. And, if the other guys do tease him, it's probably because they are jealous that their wives don't do similar things for them.

Boys r us replied: He works in an office setting. He's a VP of IT so most of the office are women...aside from the other vp's who are men.

Actually while I was typing this reply..I got an email from him..

wub.gif Awww! I'm glad he liked it! Doesn't sound like he was embarrassed at all, but you might hear about that when he gets home...

Boys r us replied: Haaa I just asked him if it embarrassed him and he said no, not at all! He said all of the women were all melted that his wife sent him something like that to work!

coasterqueen replied: Awww so glad he liked it!!!!!

Since you explained his work setting I'd definitely would have thought he'd like it. My husband is just a peon electrical engineer working with lots of men who have too much testosterone...they'd laugh, lol.

Kaitlin'smom replied: awww I am glad he liked it.

Josie83 replied: That's good that he liked it - it was a realy nice gesture! I don't think my boyfriend would appreciate something like that, but then he's just awkward hehe! You know what boys are like!

Jamison'smama replied: Glad he liked it--my DH works in a similar setting--and would have loved it---as it is his office is decorated with pictures of us and the plant from Jamison.

Littlejojames replied: I think that its sweet, dont think that craig would be amused if i sent him a plant as he works in construction and the other lads would laugh.

I got a big bunch of sunflowers delivered today to work there lovely but dont know how im going to get them home yet???!! There from the people i work with as it was my birthday while i was on holiday (Craig thinks that they are from another man) wink.gif
