Do you like haunted houses?
coasterqueen wrote: All of our friends traveled to St. Louis a few weekends ago to go to some haunted houses to get in the Halloween spirit. DH and I didn't go. I love scary movies but I get freaked out going through those haunted houses and having people jump out at me and scare the living daylights out of me. I don't like the anticipation of wondering when I'm going to get scared.
luvmykids replied: I don't think I've ever done one, if I have I was traumatized and have blocked it out DH and I are going to do the haunted corn maze at the pumpkin patch though
moped replied: Not me! I don't like anything scary.....
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I used to like them, but now I'm more scared of scary movies and haunted houses then I was as a child.
coasterqueen replied: I think definitely going to haunted houses as a kid has kept me from going to them now. I was always so scared. I remember my father taking me to them and I would cry all the way through the thing. Not sure why he took me, though. To get over my fear? He did that with a lot of things - roller coasters for instance, but because he made me ride one (even crying at that point) now I LOVE them. Don't think it was the best parenting tactic, but it worked for one thing.
My2Beauties replied: NO NO NO and NO! I hate anything haunted, anything scary etc. I used to LOVE to watch scary movies and go to haunted houses, but for some reason now that I am older, I don't like the adrenaline rush anymore you get when you're going through one or being scared. The last straw for me was about 6 years ago I went with a group of friends to Otter Creek (which is a huge forest in the middle of nowhere) and you walk through the woods with a group of people to all these different scary scenarios. Well, they had a school bus sitting in the middle of the woods and Freddy Krueger was in the driver's seat you had to walk right past him. He got up once I got on and followed me and was tapping those nasty claws on my back I got so wigged out and scared by him that I punched the poor guy in the stomach as hard as I could and he went down. I knew from there on out I was done with haunted houses/forests/ghost runs etc...
TheOaf66 replied: I think they are fun, movies don't ever scare me, I laugh more than anything
Insanemomof3 replied: I will admit it...I love anything scary. I love the adrenaline rush. It is so fun. But I don't much care for the fake haunted houses, I do get scared by somethings but for the most part they are just too fake. Now a REAL haunted house...I would LOVE to go to one.
coasterqueen replied: I would agree, I would love to go to a real haunted house. That would be fun, but scary.
A&A'smommy replied: I went to this one last year and LOVED It, it wasn't scary at all... oh and its really haunted!!!

I want to go to one a little closer this year, that one was two hours away but it was worth it!!!
kit_kats_mom replied: I'm not super fond of them but we went to Howl O Scream at busch gardens last weekend and it was great! they had 5 haunted houses and they do a wonderful job.
gr33n3y3z replied: OMG I love haunted houses the more the better
lisar replied: I like them. Lexi even likes them
redchief replied: I love haunted houses
Boo&BugsMom replied: I love haunted houses! I use to act in one in high school and when I first started college too. It was loads of fun scaring people!
A&A'smommy replied: I have ALWAYS wanted to do that!!!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I love haunted houses!!!
HuskerMom replied: I'd rather go to a real haunted house, that would be more fun. I'm not usually a fan of horror movies, I watched part of The Hills Have Eyes 2 last night and it was so bad. It was worse than the first one, we thought.
holley79 replied: I'm not over joyed and beating down doors to go but Shawn loves them. I go with him at times. His friends from some band he use to hang out with put on the haunted house in New Orleans. That place scares the crap out of me.
Anthony275 replied: yep.. not even scary
Calimama replied: I think they are fun!!
My3LilMonkeys replied: I love haunted houses! I am VERY easily scared so they freak me out, but I enjoy them.
AlexsPajamaMama replied: Same here I do not like scarey movies or anything like that
Kentuckychick replied: no...
I can still vividly remember going to a haunted house when I was younger and bursting into tears after one of those people jumped out at me. My parents felt awful.
My father and I were involved in an accident about 7 years ago where some ignorant teens were shooting water balloons off a balcony onto the highway (using a high powered slingshot device) at the beach and they hit our car and busted our window... we thought we'd been shot at and didn't realize until we got home it was a balloon. Ever since then those types of jump out at you, in your face type of things startle and scare me even more... so I can only imagine.
hoosier momma replied: Absolutely not. They totally freak me out.
C&K*s Mommie replied: I love them! Haven't been to one in ages, but I love the thrill of being scared then being able to laugh about it a split second later. I think my girls will be the same way, we went to the party store the other day where we "scared" them with masks and such but they were giving us more masks and scary things to turn around and scare them with! Our youngest even asked to go back to the scary store the next day!
