Do you iron your toddler clothes?
MommyToAshley wrote: I'm not talking about if they have wrinkles... I mean do you iron them every day and give them that crip, just-ironed look?
I don't buy clothes that require ironing for Ashley. So, if something is wrinkled, I'll just toss it in the dryer. Now, if it was still wrinkled, then I'd bring out the iron... but that doesn't happen very often.
There's a little boy at Ashley's preschool that always comes dressed with creases in his pants and shirts from being ironed. I almost feel like a bad mommy, but then who has time for that? She must be supermom or something? I barely have time to get both of us dressed, let alone iron our clothes!
3_call_me_mama replied: IRON?! What's that?! J/K No we defiately do not iron our kids clothes. I don't even Iron my own clothes, i just tos sthem in a dryer if they are wrinkled or use downy wrinkle releaser on them. But other than that nope, we go wrinkled.
sunshine girls replied: I iron there clothes. Usually I wash them, chuck them in the dryer, and iron them before I put them away. I generally don't iron things that don't need to be, like sweaters, they're usually okay. But t-shirts, pants and pyjama's always get ironed before I put them away. I do the washing at night time, after everyone has changed into there pyjama's, so around 7 or 8 I wash the clothes we wore today, put them in the dryer, and iron them before I go to bed, so there isn't that much to iron, only pants and shirts and the pyjamas the girls wore to bed that night. Plus I enjoy ironing and I've had lots of practise so it only takes me 5-10 minutes
TeagansMom609 replied: Never, I always throw them in the dryer on high for a minute or two. Works like a charm.
coasterqueen replied: No way! I have NO time to iron clothes and my girls need other things from me than crisp looking clothes. I used to iron Dh's clothes all the time before I had kids. As soon as we had Kylie and trying to juggle working and parenting and maintaining a home....it went OUT the window. Thank goodness I have a wonderful husband who doesn't care about things like that or else I'd probably have to pay someone to iron.
ediep replied: nope, I don't iron anything unless it looks terribly wrinkeled. Sometimes I have to iron the collar of Jasons shirts.
gr33n3y3z replied: thats what I do also lol
mckayleesmom replied: no way...thats what the dryer is for...I will iron something if it has a wrinkle that won't come out,,,but thats it.
sunshine girls replied: I feel really weird now, lol.
ian'smommy replied: I don't iron unless it's for something special. When we went to a funeral and a wedding i roned his clothes and mine and DH's as well. BUt for everyday wear, unless it looks absolutely terrible, I use the dryer...
5littleladies replied: Lol!! I'm lucky if I can find my iron when I actually need it. So, no, I don't iron their clothes.
MyLuvBugs replied: What's the point. There just going to get dirty in 10 seconds anyway.
ian'smommy replied: very true
Debra replied: Nope I don't. I don't even iron mine or DH's clothes!
kit_kats_mom replied: nope. The few outfits that need to be ironed after they've been washed are almost always religated to the back of the girls' closets. I can iron & I used to for DH but frankly, I don't have that kind of time. LOL
six_kids_at_28 replied: Definatley not!!! The only thing that I iron is my dress shirt before I go to a party..and I only iron that like once a year
kimberley replied: ditto! LOL
only person i know who still irons things is my grandmother.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Nope! I don't really iron AT ALL. LOL! I'll iron only if it's a special occasion and one of us has a nice dress shirt, skirt or pants that need ironing. That doesn't happen very often. I've always hated ironing. So DH takes all his work shirts to the dry cleaner...gets expensive! But I'm still not doin' it!
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: If this tells you anything we misplaced our iron in Sept. of last year and just found it hiding in the back of our hall clost a couple weeks ago
Mommy2BAK replied:
Well I iron this one jean skirt of Blakely's when she wears it b/c it is pleated and it never lays flat unless its ironed. But thats it
3xsthefun replied: Nope, I don't iron their clothes.
