Do you find it is ever big enough?

I bought a satchel handbag a few months ago, that I thought would be plenty big. This was after not carrying a purse for a few months prior. I used my back pockets to carry cash (bad idea), if I knew I would need my DL I would put that in another back pocket, change and keys in the front pockets. So I knew that with my minimal needs, the satchel should be plenty big. It was for a while, until recently that it seems to be overflowing with everything, and anything that will fit. Time to upgrade to a tote, I am sure. Is your purse ever big enough for your needs?

JP&KJMOM replied: I have never had one big enough either! I have a really small one now and it is driving me batty!

b&bsmom replied: I didn't want to give up the diaper bag ( I rarely carry a purse) I upgraded to a little bag that teens carry it is not a diaper bag but has a pocket for cell pens and such. It has one of the flaps that comes over the whole thing ( the zippers and stuff) hard to explain. but no it is never big enough.

The bigger the purse the more stuff I seem to suddenly need although I did fine without it before. I'm in the duffel bag stage right now.

The other day I was cleaning it out at work, cause my wallet wouldn't fit with all the junk...

I had socks, V-Day candy, calculator, 3 diapers, two toy cars, bubbles, ten pounds of coins, a million reciepts....it took me an hour to sort through my purse!

So my Mom just bought me a bigger purse, and I told her, "Yea, now I can cram more stuff in there!"

MamaJAM replied: Honestly -- I don't carry much in my purse (if I could avoid having to carry a purse at all, I would). I just have a wallet, cell phone, a pen, keys and tissues. Sometimes a small toy or two ends up in there (a match-box car or a 1 inch tall plastic zebra)....it depends if the boys hand me stuff while we're out.
I usually buy very small purses. But - a month ago I bought a new brown back-pack style purse, I love the color and style, but its a bit too big for me. It came with a matching date-book and umbrella. I took the umbrella out but ended up leaving the dat-book thing in to use for notes while out (or to hand the boys to draw in if they get crabby). It's really funny though seeing my little wallet and keys swimming around in there (not to mention that I keep 'losing' my cell-phone).

Lynda836 replied: When I saw the title of this post....well you probably can guess what I was thinking. OK...mind out of the gutter...purses. My purse is too small...only holds my wallet, cell phone and maybe a lipstick. So what ends up happening is my purse goes into the diaper bag.

Kaitlin'smom replied: I try to keep the purse small but I have more of a med sized I cant handle big purses I never can find anything if they are to big drove me crazy. I would love a smaller one but it wont ever happen.

kayla's mama replied: I used to carry a big purse then down sized to a smaller one. I can't stand it. I have to have a purse where you can put a diaper and wipes in there. I think I'll change over to our carry on over night bag LOL

My3LilMonkeys replied: I prefer to carry a small purse b/c I don't like the look of lugging a giant purse around - but I would need a suitcase to carry everything I want to take with me. So I compromise and carry a medium sized purse and can't fit everything in.

ALWAYS! I feel like I keep everything in there...makeup, sometimes diapers, keys, snacks, change of shirt for me and clothes (okay, sometimes) for my son...and every time I try to clean it out and organize...it just goes back to being the same every time!

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I carry a smallish backpack purse. There is plenty of room in there for more. I am fairly frugal when it comes to what I need with me. If I am not taking Logan, I grab my license, a credit card and a chapstick and I am good to go. I hate purses.

Brias3 replied: Nope! I'm a purse-a-holic and so I have a ton of purses but none ever seem to be big enough. The only ones that come close are the two big hobo bags I got from Gap last year for casual purses. Those can hold the necessities easily

That is sooo me! Wasn't there an old game show where they would call out random items and the first person to have it won? I would win everytime. You would not believe what is in my purse.

holley79 replied: When things don't fit in my purse anymore then I clean it out. I refuse to get a bigger purse. I had a huge 50's poodle purse and I had so much junk in there I couldn't find anything.
