Do you ever catch yourself

When I'm asking Wil to do something, like put on his shoes, or turn off the tv, and he doesn't respond...I say "Wil, did you hear me?"...And I repeat it about thirty times until he finally says "YES, I heard you!". I remember my mom saying this all the time and it drove me nuts.

And whenever I stayed over night at my grandma's, in the morning, she would always say in this baby type voice "Did you sleep-y good?" And I HATED it because she kept doing it even when I was a teenager. Well guess who says it now...every morning to Wil...ME.

grandma replied: I think that is pretty normal. When I call my grandkids by the wrong name first, then their name...lol My mom use to do that.
What is also funny, is for your grandkids to sing a song that you sang to their daddy. And, not just the common songs, but those crazy little songs you made up.
It's a circle effect.

I used to hate when My Mom would say that. Well, I catch myself saying that to Ashley. She will ask why she can't do something, I will answer, and then she will make an excuse and ask why again. The other day, she asked why for about the fifth time and I finally resorted to, "because I said so, and don't ask why again"

... so guess what she said, "Well, Mom, how come you say so?"

grandma replied: How about adding the middle name in there when your trying your darnest to be alittle more firm about something? My mom did that, me...not so much.
