Do you believe......

Well she was playing on the bed and all of a sudden she looked up at the ceiling and started giggling and waving. She did this for quite some time and it started to freak me out. I finally took her out of the room for a bit and then brought her back in and the first thing she did was look at the same exact spot on the ceiling. Just wondering what you all think about things like that?
cameragirl21 replied: yes, there is no question about that. i have quite a bit of knowledge and experience in this one.
stella6979 replied: So do you think it's safe to say that there is some kind of ghost lurking around in my bedroom?
cameragirl21 replied: yes, but not an evil one and not anything you should worry about. do you have deceased grandparents? that may likely be the case here. i have to be very careful how i word things like this because i know some people on this board are not big believers in these things or are downright uncomfortable with them whereas everyone here by now knows that i know all about ghosts and similar topics, lol, my friends say that i "walk in both worlds." babies are more likely to see what we don't because they are still so close to the other side, as they get bigger, they lose this ability. i saw ghosts all through my childhood and even now sometimes but it is something that usually goes away at some point in early childhood. often when kids say they have an invisible friend, it's really an entity that's not invisible to them if you kwim. i really don't think it's anything you need to be concerned with based on the way you've described the situation.

DD#2 (6mts), at our old house, when I would sit with her on the couch in our living room, would look in the same place (over my left shoulder) and giggle and smile and kind of wave at "something"...
I truly believe kids see things we don't! Whether they are ghosts, angels, spirits, whatever, I don't know, but as long as they are peaceful, I'm jealous.
stella6979 replied: Nope, no Grandparents, but we did just have our dog put to sleep. Not sure if that's a possibility but she definately sees something. She did this at our apartment too. Is it possible something has followed us?
cameragirl21 replied: yes, it's possible something followed you or it could be something different. most of the spirits kids see are friendly, at least when they're babies. i don't know that it would be a dog, could be a person who lived in the house or another child. i just want to stress that it's nothing bad and not a cause for alarm at all. if she appears startled or scared then that's another story and in that case let me know and i'll be able to help you out. it's highly unlikely, though, i've never heard of babies seeing bad spirits.
redchief replied: I don't think your baby saw anything supernatural. Maybe she was enjoying watching her hands. Of course since I don't believe in ghosts and such, that kind of guides my thinking.
stella6979 replied: Hmmmm....very interesting. I wasn't really scared because of the way she was acting, just weirded out I guess. My DH and I both think it's pretty neat actually.
C&K*s Mommie replied: I believe so, so yes.
lilly&max replied: I would say not...but that's just my opinion.
Calimama replied: Wow!!
