Did you cry??
mckayleesmom wrote: I was just thinking. Did you cry right after you gave birth?? I didn't cry till I got home from the hospital and I got up to feed her in the middle of the night and it just hit me...BAMB...Im a mommy and I started bawling. I was bawling cause I didn't cry before and because I was a mommy.. I was on alot of good hopital drugs so I was pretty much gonzo in the hospital.
A&A'smommy replied: i didnt cry until after i gor home either i was on tons of drugs too sooo i didnt have a clue what was going on.
paradisemommy replied: omg..i have always been so emotional, it's not even funny. i had to have a c-section because my cervix wouldn't dilate...i was crying from the time they started wheeling me out of the room until probably 15 to 20 minutes after the surgery. they were so sweet too in the or..one gal came over and grabbed my hand and was wiping away my tears with a tissue..i was a mess i just couldn't believe he was finally here and to see how big he was and to hear him cry...just melted my heart and was just overwhelming....but was tears of joy!!
MomToMany replied: I did. It was just SO emotional for me. I'll probably cry after this one's born, too !
aspenblue1 replied: I did.
Kirstenmumof3 replied: I didn't cry with any of my 3 children. I'm not sure why. I remember being close to tears with all 3. I do remember months later welling up with tears because I was a mom.
ediep replied: I didn't cry from the emotions, but I did cry from pain and exhaustion.
kimberley replied: i was the same way. on the verge of tears but not really crying. but i still well up looking at my perfect little angels.
mummy2girls replied: Yes i did cry. after she was born i was bawling. More for the fact i was scared she wasnt healthy and very ovewhelmed... And i was an emotional wreck for 2 weeks after her birth...
DansMom replied: I didn't cry---I was too relieved that the 20 hours of labor and 3 hours of pushing was over, during most of which I was shouting with determination and/or despair (no meds). I was so exhausted. It was definitely magical though, when I saw my baby lifted above me, almost in sillhouette, and then they placed him on my chest. I would describe the feeling I had as thrilled and amazed, rather than tearful. But DH was a basket case LOL! He's always been the more sentimental of the two of us.
amynicole21 replied: I cried a lot - mainly from sheer exhaustion after 3 hours of pushing. But I was so happy she was out, and she was so beautiful! I proceeded to cry for the next month straight, too
chloe&tysmommy replied: I didn't cry. I had no sleep for 3 days w/ steady contractions and was in labor way to long..lol...So when she was finally born I was in complete shock that she was Finally out! I couldn't believe I was a momma to a beautiful baby girl It was definitely an amazing experience Dh had tears in his eyes though..
DansMom replied: So I'm not the only one who pushed for three hours! It's so frustrating that the distance that baby has to travel is only a few inches, but it can be so difficult and take forever. Hopefully a second baby, if we have one, will be easier to push out
ediep replied: You are not the only one, I pushed for 4 hours!!! I cried from pain and exhaustion
CantWait replied: I didn't really cry I don't think, I was just so overwhelmed
amynicole21 replied: Yes, it was horrible wasn't it??!! My friend just had a baby in Dec and pushed for 4 hours like edie! Nightmare.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I cried right before I started pushing b/c the thought of giving birth just hit me hard emotionally. I am very emotional as well, but was so bombarded with things right after I had her. DH cried after she was born. I know I will cry this time....I've been crying the entire pg just thinking about the miracle that is taking place.
coasterqueen replied: I cried
