Did my first craft fair yesterday. - and I sold......

For those who may not know, I handpaint stool sets and piggy banks. Fun, but not worth it if they don't sell.

CCTandME replied: Thank You! I also painted a park bench for my display. I forgot my camera so no pics. I made little corner fences and painted them white put them in the front of my area. Used shredded paper as hay and had HUGE piggy banks in ea corner. I also made pig pens for the piggy banks. (love my new table saw ) I want to make a barn background and I need to build more shelves. I am so into this, just need to SELL. Here is a pic of the park bench.

If not you should until bussines picks up or make your own web page and sell stuff on there.

Dont forget about the Stone Harbor Craft Show I think you would do a GOOD chunk of change there also

I tried Ebay for the stools once. I had a few bids. It ends up costing me too much in fees to keep reposting on Ebay and to show all the pictures. Maybe I will try it again. I also researched piggy banks before I started doing them. For the same size large one I do most people charge $25-$35. I put a price of $20 and a free pig pen w/ it. I would love to do my own website. Any idea how to go about it? I am so clueless. Other vendors and craft show promoters kept asking if I had a website. I wish I did.
I'll have to look up taht craft show you mentioned.

My sister does web sites for businesses on the side. There might be someone in the graphic desgin field in your area who could do one for you after you build up some capital.

Thanks!! Yes to the custom. A guy at work has requested a spongebob piggy bank. I'm doing a hello kitty bank for a friend of my daughters. And I did a baseball stool/ coat peg set for a guy at work. I personlaized 2 coat pegs for ea of his sons and did a 3rd one as a baseball. The stool looked like a baseball w/ dark bluer legs. I also did a smiley face stool/coat peg set and a lt pink/ drk pink heart stool/ coat peg set. I'll have to take pictures and post them

My little sisters 16th birthday is coming up in July and we go on a huge shopping spree at the end of every summer and I wanted to give her a bank that says something like Aly's Shop-a-Thon Fund or something like that with clothes or purses or soemthing on it. here is a website that I created professionally www.eastgatekenpo.com I used to be the office manager there. Even though I quit they came to me to keep up on the wesite. It is basic but it does get traffic.

I also have some personal websites I'd be happy to share with you. I also am attempting to start a website that is much like this one (so far no luck). And I love this site!!! It inspires me to what mine could be like some day. LOL

Let me know if your interested. I am not a graphics designer and I do not have a degree........ I'm self taught.
