Diapers - what kind do you use?
mckayleesmom wrote: Just wondering what kind of diapers everyone buys. My husband bought her diapers the other day and he got huggies and they suck,,,accasionally with her white cloud diapers she would leak out the legs sometimes,,,no big deal.....but with the huggies you can feel it leaking through the crotch part of the diaper...last night she peed and pooped through all over me. And what is up with those velcrow straps,,,they always pop up and come undone...what happen to good old sticky straps?
mckayleesmom replied: sorry I posted this in the wrong forum. But I know everyone reads all of them,,,I know I do
Kaitlin'smom replied: usually pampers
but when MIL buys I take what ever she brings, huggies, white cloud, pampers, luves
I do like pampers better, second would be luves
Kaitlin'smom replied: no problem! yes I read them all!
ps I like your avitar! what a cutie!
ediep replied: we use Huggies, but my friends who have girls usually prefer pampers
mckayleesmom replied: thanks, I like your avitar too...I think I will stick to white cloud for a while. She is really small and that is the smallest diaper I could find for her anyways, I just wish they had the sticky tabs
Kaitlin'smom replied: ya I had that problem for a while when Kaitlin was born most dipers were huge on her! Pampers swaddler seemed to fit her best. Kaitlin is on the small size she is 5 months old now and is just fitting into 3-6 month clothes, alot are still really big, and she still has some 0-3 month she can wear!
mckayleesmom replied: Mckaylee will be 2 months on the 22nd and she still doesn't fit in preemie clothes,,,she is probably around 7lbs now (Im guessing) but she is really short, and shes really petite, the only thing thats really changed on her since birth is her little face is getting chubby.
Kaitlin'smom replied: she sounds adorable! gotta love the chubby cheeks! just think she will be able to wear 0-3 months for a long time! how much did she weigh when she was born?
Mommieto2Girls replied: At birth we used Huggies( they were the only brand that had newborn) and now we use White Cloud. Madisons godmother byes her Pampers which I don't mind. I think any diaper that I don't have to buy is a great diaper. hehehe
dolfinrse replied: We use the Pampers Swaddlers. They seem to hold a lot more than any other diaper that we have tried. The Huggies didn't hold a lot. We were doing a load of laundry a day until Zachary started put some meat on him because he was leaking through everything.
mckayleesmom replied: She weighed 6lbs 1ounce and she was 17 inches long. She seemed alot smaller though.
msjennbug replied: the early weeks we use tushies then we move to cloth. when we do purchase throw away diapers to use as they are older, it's walmart or tom thumb brand - the cheapest made, least absorbent diapers - i have issues with the super-absorbent gels and prefer to have NONE or as little as possible on my baby's bum.
jenn edd 7/4
MomofTay&Sam replied: We use the Babies r Us brand..I guess the name would be babiesrus diapers? LOL They work awesome! I have heard they are no good for girls though?? Does everyone have babiesrus where you are??? Sister company to toysrus.
momofajcl replied: I have been a loyal Huggies buyer for 7 years...but some months ago, someone said I should try White Cloud from Walmart and so I did. OMG! I wish I had tried them 7 years ago. They are so much cheaper and I think they are better at protecting against leaks than Huggies. My boys are leaky kids! LOL!
Anyway... just my
mckayleesmom replied: No babiesRus here, no baby anything here,,,they didn't even have a motherhood store till the day she was born,,,Im not kidding either,,I drove once 2 hours away to go to one at the mall of america. We don't have any kind of baby stores besides childrens place and gymborie.
MomofTay&Sam replied: How much are the white cloud diapers?? I know it is different by size but now I am really interested!
kit_kats_mom replied: Katherine will be 9 months on the 2nd and is still wearing size 2 diapers. We usually get swaddlers or white cloud. I bought some size 3 Pampers cruisers but they are WAY too big, they smell wierd and I just don't like the texture of the pampers brand diapers.
mckayleesmom replied: I know the newborn ones are 6 something for 40 diapers at walmart, but Im not sure about the other sizes,,I know they are alot different in price though.
kit_kats_mom replied: Maybe you will get the same amount of wear out of your clothes as I do. Katherine is almost 9 months old and she is just starting to wear the smallest of her 6-9 month clothes
mckayleesmom replied: that would be a benefit
Mommieto2Girls replied: White Cloud box of 120 diapers size 3 are 15 dollars and some change plus tax. Very good deal if you get the BIG pack.
~CrazieMama~ replied: I use White Cloud. I love them!!! My Brianna breaks out really bad with Pampers. White Cloud is good on her.
supermom replied: We have used Pampers on Anders all along - we tried Huggies and they leaked on us too and woulnd't stay closed - this is not a good thing....
So, we went back to Pampers and haven't tried anything else again!
MomToMany replied: I don't like Huggies; they leak everywhere! I usually buy Pampers or White Cloud, although with Hannah, she seems to need a size bigger in the White Cloud than Pampers. I prefer the velcro tabs, too. I hate the Dry-Bottoms, too; They get too bunched up and the sticky tapes are too easy for Hannah to open .
amynicole21 replied: We use Huggies for this very reason! When we first brought Sophia home, the hospital gave us a bunch of newborn Huggies and Pampers. I couldn't stand the way the Pampers felt - crinkly if that's a word. It seemed too rough on her skin. She did tend to leak through with her breastfed poops early on, but we haven't had any problems since about 6mos. Love em! I have tried a sample of White Cloud though, and they are really good, too.
booey2 replied: We always used Pampers and I had no problems with leaking (once I figured out to point him south) or feeling damp. We tried Huggies and they felt damp on the outside once he wet a little or wore one for a while. He is now able to pull the Huggies Velcro tabs off and take off his diaper. We now will buy whichever is cheaper or which ones I have coupons for, either Pampers or Huggies. Never felt comfortable paying less for something and then using more of it.
Kaitlin'smom replied:
yep we sure do! I love it!
MommyToAshley replied: I use either Pampers or the CVS brand. I actually like the CVS brand, and they are cheaper. They have sales all the time and you can get Jumbo packs for $6!! She has never had a leak with the CVS brand.
I hate Huggies! THey leave those little beads in the diaper that are hard to wipe off.
MamaMartie replied: I am using cloth for the most part, but when I use disposables I usually get the cheap kind: white cloud (walmart), Babies R Us brand, or occationally Luvs. They all work absorbancy wise the same for my kids (joey is still in diapers). I got a lot of huggies as baby gifts for Hannah so I am using them at night. They are ok, but more prone to "blow outs" than cloth diapers. Usually she doesn't poo at night though so we're pretty safe. Pampers are very nice, but expensive.
