Diaper Help

lovemy2 wrote: OK, so Dylan pees through his diaper EVERY nite......it is sooo annoying - those of you with cribs with bumpers know what its like changing that crib sheet EVERYDAY!!!!!!! It is a pain....

Being a boy and he sleeps on his tummy - he just wets right over the top of it once its full - this little guy can pee.....

So those of you with boys - what kind of diapers do you use???? Anyone else have this problem????

lisar replied: Raygen done this everynow and then. I used to put the plastic under wear over her diaper. Just in case. That way if it leaked that would hold it until I got to her. It didnt happen very often, but when it did she would take her whole diaper off and that made a much bigger mess.

I always felt like a bad Mommy because she would go thru her diaper, but I would change her right before I went to bed at midnight and then by 7am she would be soaked right thru it.

Good luck.

ediep replied: get the next size diaper, even if it says that its too big for him, just make the tabs tighter.

jason used to do this too

flirtycuddle replied: Will does this and we had luck with the regular huggies. I use target or alberstons brand now and still dont have it happen alot. Get the next size diapers also that usually helps

lovemy2 replied: I will try the Huggies - he is in the next size diaper - Pampers size 2 - thought that would do it and for a little bit (like a week or so) he wasn't doing it when we went up a size in diaper but now he is at it again......

I am going to try another brand.....

redplaydoh replied: With Lucas we bought disposable diaper doublers, which was like a little cotton liner and put in his diaper. We had the best success with Pampers but there were times when the next sized diaper was too big but he'd pee through the size he was in. The doublers helped us get through those times.

ZandersMama replied: I know this sounds funny, but have you tried putting the diaper on backwords for bedtime? It is bigger in the back, so there is more room to absorb.

lovemy2 replied:
Hmmmm, I will have to give that a try....

luvmykids replied:
Exactly what I was going to suggest, I don't remember where I bought them though. And Pampers were the only thing that worked, Colt used to pee through his diapers at night until I used them and even then I'd put them on so they were higher in the front if that makes sense, since boys do seem to pee straight up.

Calimama replied: I agree with getting the next size diaper. thumb.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: I'm sure I don't have to remind moms of boys to point Junior down so that they don't pee out the top...... laugh.gif

Plastic liners... also maybe try layering their crib with 3 or 4 changes of bedding...

sheet
plastic
sheet
plastic
sheet
plastic
sheet
plastic

that way you only have to remove the wet sheet and plastic, and you already have new bedding ready. It saves time and annoyances in the night and early morning.

A&A'smommy replied: lol Rocky you think of everything!!! thumb.gif

I was going to ask you want brand you are using... when alyssa was that small the only brand that worked for us was huggies, and when she hit about 6 or 7 months pampers worked better.... I thought that was very odd!!

BabyOwen427 replied: Everyone else has great suggestions.

I use regular huggies during the day but at night I put him in a huggies supreme. It has more absorbant material in it and it holds more.

Hope you find something that helps you. Good luck.

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
Bah... you will too by the time you have your 3rd kid. wink.gif

A&A'smommy replied:
tongue.gif if that EVER happens wink.gif tongue.gif

msoulz replied:

I don't think this is a bad thing to remind - no one told us that with our son for a long time!!

When he was little we had the same problem and they used to make big, thick overnight diapers but I haven't seen them this time around. So I don't know if they are no longer produced or just not around here. I don't remember the brand either. But it is something to look into, perhaps a net search.

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: Another thing you can try is diaper doublers. they look like maxi pads but there is no adhesive side. I think all of my kids started leaking at night arround the time they needed a bigger size diaper.

Miranda1127 replied:
i use the doublers also, they are great and only $2/$3 for a whole pack. i use pampers and slip the doublers in at night. also if i'm out of the doublers i use on of my pads (sounds funny and dh hates when i do it but...) they are pretty much the same think just a different name. i usually get them at bru but i couldn't find them on the website the first link is what i use the second is another product (same idea)

Godd luck

Boo&BugsMom replied:
We always had to change Tanner a couple times in the middle of the night. We used Luvs. I didn't really have a problem at all with them. They aren't as stretchy as some, but the leakage was very minimal, of there was any at all. After awhile we also had to use overnight diapers. Not sure if they make them in young infant sizes though.

lovemy2 replied:
I JUST bumped him up to size 2 pampers.....I had some Huggies Supreme size 2 - they don't come in the big boxes that you can buy at like BJs (wholesale club) that was why I bought the Pampers size 2 because the huggies size 3 were HUGE....

Anyway, the Huggies Supreme size 2 didn't leak so maybe I will buy a regular size package of those and just use them at nite... and see what happens...

I tell ya.....
