Devastating loss - Good friend's baby died

natjasem wrote: I'm so sick at heart. My friend gave birth to her daughter 2 days ago and the baby died within minutes due to a congenital heart defect that sonograms can't see.
The baby had no right ventricle which means she received no oxygenated blood once she was born. She was getting oxygen from her mother the whole pregnancy. I can't imagine the pain she's going through right now. It makes me want to hold my daughter closer.
