Detergents - what kinds do you HATE

mckayleesmom wrote: I hate GAIN with fabric softner....I think it makes clothes feel wierd. My MIL loves it and when we visit...we have to use it....When we get home....the first thing I do is dump all our clothes out at the washing machine to rewash them.

Ive never tried the other gains, but I just don't like that one. Im a ferm believer in seperate fabric softner.... laugh.gif

I love my arm and hammer....and I even love the new one with fabric softner built in, but I still use a seperate fabric softener also.

danahas4monkeys replied: well the only one i can use without it bothering someones skin (ds has excema i have psoriasis ) is All free and clear I love tide but it bothers ds so !

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Hmm I don't know... there was one that I tried and didn't like but I don't remember what it was. dunno.gif Oooh I think it was called Xtra or something like that. It was a cheapo brand. I love Tide but haven't used it for a long time because it costs so much. I use Purex and it works ok. thumb.gif

mckayleesmom replied:
Im alergic to purex, xtra and All.....All the above mentioned.... laugh.gif And Im also alergic to that Dreft for babies.

coasterqueen replied: I really don't have any that I hate, per se. I use whatever is cheap, though. I would LOVE to use some of the more expensive brands for various reasons, but it's just not in our budget so I deal with it. happy.gif

Bee_Kay replied: I tried Gain once and didn't like it.

I only buy/use Tide... preferably when it's on sale.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I use Gain HE or Tide HE. I really like Tide much better, but Gain is cheaper. smile.gif

luvmykids replied: I don't like the ones with softener, they don't have enough softener to do the trick for me. I use whatever HE is on sale.

Bee_Kay replied: HE?

luvmykids replied:
HE= High Efficiency, my washing machine uses a lot less water so it requires a less sudsing detergent.

Bee_Kay replied: Ohhhh! lol, thanks. )

LoganAndAubreesMommy replied: I use "Tide with a Touch of Downy" for our clothes. I LOVE it. It makes your clothes so soft with out having to buy fabric softener. I use Purex Baby for Logan's stuff. It smells so good and is wayyyy less expensive than Dreft. I think Dreft is around $12 and the same size container of Purex was only around $4. And I find that it's just as good.
