Decided to save some money

Dh used to color my hair all the time, but then I decided to go to a salon to get it done. Well he did it last night and it turned out STRAWBERRY BLONDE color. I've sorta had this haircolor before so it's not a total shock but it's not what I was wanting Now I wish I would have gone to a salon.

Oh well. I wanted to get it done one last time before ttc, this'll have to do, lol. Course we were going to add highlights tonight and not sure if I want to do that now, lol.

I bought the same color as usual so don't know what happened. Hehehe.

jem0622 replied: Hey...it's a new look, right? And you are going on your trip. Something different. You could always go and get a permanent color and put it over top. Not the best solution, but a good one if you are truly unhappy with it. What a trooper of a DH to do that! My DH would never do that for me for fear of reprocussions! LOL LOL

my DH would never do that either he would be afriad of it truning out horrible or missing a HUGE spot........

He did curl my hair once, and helped me take out 86 hairpins!

Yeah, DH has only done a very bad job on my hair once, he died it pitch black, lol. But we fixed it. He actually prefers to do it that way he don't have to pay the $120 for me to go get it done. ROFL.

Well I was hoping more for a light brown/dark blonde sorta look, lol. My hair is naturally DARK DARK brown, almost black. When I go get it colored my stylist won't color it light brown because she thinks I look better with a medium brown/reddish hair color, lol. So she convinces me every time.

When I used to have DH color my hair we'd always buy blonde hair coloring and it would always turn it a nice light brown color with red tints to it. But I guess since we colored it over the hair color I got from the stylist that's probably why it turned more strawberry blonde.

Dh actually prefers to color my hair because he's a cheap skate. ROFL.

Boys r us replied: LOL! I got Rick to Foil my hair once...and it actually turned out really good!
Luckily his Mom owns a Salon and Day Spa, so I get my hair done for free and don't have to chance him doing my hair ever again...ha ha
But I know what you mean about DH being a cheapskate...b/c Rick used to complain all of the time that I HAD to start using his mom instead of the stylist I've had for years...in order to save money...of course. He wasn't fond of the $150 I spent to get my hair done either, but I was too scared to change stylists...then one day I just did it, I took the plunge and it's been fine, thank goodness!

My hair is a natural strwaberry blonde color. I like it! I always get asked if I dye it and I always say NO! I have a sister with the same color; we always got asked if we were twins growing up!

I usually color my hair myself since it is so much cheeper, but I did love hhaving my naural color(med brown) with blonde hightlights it was pretty I just cant see spending that much money on it all the time so I went back to blonde.

I need to color mine again......roots are getting dark

I actually LOVE red heads and strawberry blondes, but this time it just seems brighter than I've ever had it and a HUGE change, kwim? Oh well, I'll get used to it, lol.

YOU PAY 120 WOW to get all that done here at a GOOD salon its only like 60 dollars lol now maybe I can talk dh into letting me get it done my hair looks AWFUL. I bet that is cute on you it sounds pretty! Good luck with the highlights that is amazing that your dh will do that for you mine wouldnt if I wanted him to lol
