DH's SIL crudest person I know

Celestrina wrote: My BIL's wife is so crude. The are visiting for the week. She claims to be a born-again Christian, yet says f*** and other words in front of the kids. Last night our nephew (he's three) commented how big her hoop earrings were. Her response "They need to be to hold my ankles."

PrairieMom replied: Nice. dry.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: sleep.gif no comment. dry.gif

luvbug00 replied: For me the swaring is not a big deal but that's because we sware all the time here and I try not to do it at other peoples houses and yet somtimes I'll slip up. But this comment is compleately innapropriate and discusting!

CantWait replied: dry.gif dry.gif

Hope the week flies by quickly. hug.gif

Our Lil' Family replied: Wow....that's pretty awful!

redplaydoh replied: That comment was not appropriate to respond to a three year old. Set some rules and if she swears or makes inappropriate comments show her the door... People like that make me cringe.

mckayleesmom replied: growl.gif Thats nasty

Celestrina replied:
Trouble is they are staying at my MIL's house. We are going to go to a theme park tomorrow. I'm going to see if I can get out of it somehow. I am quitting my job today (got a better offer elsewhere). I'm trying to figure out if I can use that to my advantage. Hmmm..... mabye say something to the effect "they want me to come in to fill out more paperwork, and since you (dh) have off that would be a good time to go."

LibraGirl replied: blink.gif

My2Beauties replied:
OK you can put an iamwithstupid.gif on me because I have no clue what she meant by the ankles comment unsure.gif

luvbug00 replied:

Took me several reads to figure it out too LeaAnn smile.gif

She ment somthing adult theamed I think.. at least that was my impression.

My3LilMonkeys replied:
Me too!

I took it to mean she needed them to hold her legs up when performing a certain, ahem, *adult* activity. wink.gif

MommyToAshley replied: ohmy.gif How awful! I can't imagine someone making that comment to a child, even they didn't understand the meaning.

Celestrina replied:
Exactly.

I have been known to tell some raunchy jokes, but only to adults who I knew would not be offended.

Halo42101 replied: I am a born again Christian myself and have said it when I am angry... like yesterday but would never say it in front of kids. I only say it in the privacy of my own home and that's when I am really mad. Even, then, I end up feeling guilty after, though I may feel like I don't care at the time being because I am blowing off steam. blush.gif Good luck getting out of going to the theme park & also with the new job offer. hug.gif

redchief replied:
Think of large hoop earings as portable OB/Gyn stirrups, and you get the idea.

That is TOTALLY inappropriate for even a casual adult conversation, let alone a small child. Born again or not, that kind of crassness is just so out of line I'd flip!

martzfam27 replied: Thats just horrible... dry.gif

Nina J replied: She sounds like a lovely, pleasant lady....

NOT!!!!

Celestrina replied: What I don't understand is that my BIL is a sweetheart. He's no angel, but he doesn't get angry when someone says "Jesus" or "God" when they are angry or frustrated.

Jeffs Wife replied: OMG how classy dry.gif
