DH vent! Grrrrrrrr!
coasterqueen wrote: I have to write this down before I just blow up! I've already blown up on DH over the phone, need to get this off my chest before I get angry at him when he gets home. Grrrr.
My father was nice enough to let us borrow his trailer so we can haul all the drywall scraps from our basement to the dump. So he brought the trailer down Monday night and we loaded all the scraps on there. Then my dad told Ryan last night that he could use the truck to take the trailer to the dump this morning since we don't have a truck to haul the trailer. Soooo yesterday I told Dh the most important thing for him to do was to call the dump and find out exactly what their hours were today so he can make sure to go.
Last night I asked him if he called and he said "no, forgot". So I told him dad said he knew they opened up at 7:30 am but wasn't for sure how long they were open. I told dad Ryan would be sure to go at 7:30 am. Well, I overslept this morning because Kylie was up from 2 am to 5 am, so I didn't wake up til 7:45 am. I told Ryan to get up right away and get into the dump and get that done before Kylie's swim lessons at 10:15. He dilly dallied around and said there was no way he could make it in there, get the trailer unloaded and get back in time to go to her lessons. I said fine don't go yet but make sure you know how late they are open. He said fine I will check.
So I continued on my merrily little way getting Kylie breakfast, getting a shower, getting her and I both ready and getting our swim bag packed to go this morning. Dh followed us into the Y, we had the swim lesson, went to get something to eat and Ryan went on to the dump. All this while I *assumed* he did what I told him to do and called the dump.
Well, 1/2 way home I get a call from him saying they closed. Oh, I immediately blew up! His response after I asked him why he didn't call was "well, I just didn't think they would close that early on a Saturday". DUH???? So I told him I would call around to see if the other dump was open, but for him to truck his butt over to the other one in the mean while. Well, I couldn't find the number and didn't know what to ask information for so he just went on over and of course they closed early too.
By this time I'm fuming because my dad made arrangements to use someone else's truck so Ryan could use his today and he's been without his trailer all week and dad wanted to use it this weekend. And my LOVELY husband's response to all of this inconvenience is "well, I'm sorry, I screwed up, can't fix it now". I'm just so angry. He does these stupid things all the time. NEVER listens to me and makes my parents angry! I don't blame them for being upset too, it's a beautiful weekend this weekend and they can't get the yard things done because my WONDERFUL husband is an IDIOT! Sorry he is!
So now he is going to have to take off of work one day this week, borrow someone else's truck and take the trailer to the dump. It's a wonder my parents ever let us borrow anything with the way DH is.
Okay, sorry for this very stupid rant, but I just get so angry that my DH can't ever listen to me. I have to treat him like a child and in fact he's worse than a child! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Sometimes the single life just looks so darn appealing!

Oh and get this, my mom called saying she was mad about the whole thing and so was my dad, but then they turned around and called DH on his cell and told him to park the truck and trailer down at their house and they would take it to the dump for him on Monday. So my dad is going to take off work Monday to take care of this! Grrrr, I can't believe my parents did that. So now DH doesn't think he did anything wrong.
Man, I tell you. If there is any such thing as a next life I want to be a MAN!
